"beautifully situated place with monopoly in the Pitztal - We were allowed to spend our summer vacation here - first of all, the CP operator cannot be surpassed in friendliness and diligence, he manages a lot (it feels like everything) on his own - and yes, we had a great vacation. Unfortunately, there were also things that we were disappointed about and that we would have liked differently. The site itself has 38 parceled-out pitches of different sizes and suitability for RVs, motorhomes and large tents, all with gas, waste water and electricity columns within easy reach. There is also a meadow for tents and "emergency pitches" around the pond. The rush is huge in the main season (if you want to camp in the Pitztal you have to come here), in the few weeks of the season the occupancy rate is well over 100%. It is made possible for everyone to find a place. Unfortunately, the sanitary building can hardly cope with the rush - the cleanliness is not good - it is cleaned too little overall (once a day), the number of showers (5 - one room for men and women) and 2 rinsing places is not sufficient, they are constantly busy and not in a very clean condition. The paths on the site are graveled, the pitches themselves are not drained, after heavy rain the water stands, some campers have walked over wooden planks through the awning... The garbage house is also literally bursting at the seams. The campsite's own restaurant (the campsite operator cooks personally) offers very good, fresh food. Unfortunately, the waiting times are very long: of course - fresh food is not prepared in 5 minutes, but: we ate twice (both times it was delicious), and we waited over an hour for our food both times, and the service was also a long time coming. The high "density of occupants" creates a good background noise and an edgy atmosphere in this quiet place away from the hustle and bustle. The peace and quiet in the evening is wonderful. You are dependent on a car, otherwise you can use public transport. A daily bread roll service is offered, once a week there is a joint barbecue evening. Shopping facilities are available in Wenns (M-Preis or also in Jerzens), for both options it is advisable to be mobile. The fish pond is used by children and some adults for splashing and swimming, there are places where campfires can be made. It is actually forbidden to barbecue with charcoal - almost everyone does it... It is not controlled. No dog waste bags on site, no additional waste garbage cans. There are no fixed office hours, anyone arriving in the evening/late afternoon is greeted (and instructed) by the manager from the kitchen. Leisure opportunities: there are hiking trails from the campsite, these are not very productive, you need a car to get to the cable cars, the Glacier Park Card covers the Hochzeigerbahn, the cable cars from Mandarfen, Imst and the Kaunertal. From there you can go on wonderful tours. Many things are great, many things are due to the high season and many of the things described are acceptable or you can easily make do with them. On a positive note: regular cleaning of the sanitary building several times a day would completely change the whole situation and have a significant impact on the assessment of the quality of the campsite. We say "thank you" for everything and wish you continued success.
