"Super comfortable - Small, well laid out, neat and clean, with everything you need. Super nice hosts! You can get to the nearest cities quickly and easily by public transport. Gladly again and again 😀

"Beautiful CP in a quiet location - A few comments on the campers who have previously rated the site. The reception was always manned in the mornings. The sanitary facilities are basic but clean and yes, you have to bring your own toilet paper. It is true that the paths are not lit at night, but it is a NaturCP. It is also nice that the cars are not on the campsite, but are parked in front of it, so there is plenty of space. The surrounding area is a very beautiful nature reserve and you can cycle all the way from the campsite to Haarlem through the nature reserve. Amsterdam is also easy to reach by bike, but you can also easily get to Amsterdam by public transport, train station about 1km away, trains run at least every hour.

"beautiful place, unfortunately poorly managed - beautifully situated pitch in a wooded area. has potential, but poorly equipped. Site completely unlit at night. Reception rarely manned. Only one tap for water on the site. Sanitary facilities very unclean during the whole stay. Temperature in the showers not adjustable, much too hot approx. 40 degrees,

Camping Schoonenberg is al jaren een familiebedrijf en wordt beheerd door Mike Snijders en zijn zus Daphne Walker, bijgestaan in drukke tijden door familieleden. Het 2.5 ha grote kampeerterrein is uniek gelegen, midden in een eikenbos en maakt deel uit …van landgoed Schoonenberg. De camping is ingesloten door een 5-tal andere landgoederen met een totaal oppervlakte van 25 ha. Wij zijn met onze 80 plaatsen één van de grotere natuurkampeerterreinen, ondanks dat zijn rust en natuur zéér belangrijk. In de weekenden van Hemelvaart en Pinksteren bijvoorbeeld, is het gezellig druk bij ons. Maar wanneer u ’s-avonds rond een uur of 10 een rondje camping doet, zult u zien dat het heerlijk rustig is. Mensen zitten voor de tent met een kaarsje aan te genieten van de stilte en eventueel een glaasje wijn. rrein bestaat o.a. uit 2 lanen waar caravans en tenten gemixt terecht kunnen. Elke plek is uniek en heeft zijn eigen karakter. Voor de echte “natuurkampeerder” is er het “kleine laantje”. Een smal slingerlaantje met 8 kleine tot middelgrote tentenplekjes. We hebben dit het “avontuurlijke laantje” gedoopt omdat we de natuur hier wat meer z’n gang laten gaan, dwz, het bos wordt hier niet zo intensief bijgehouden als op de rest van de camping. Gezinnen met tenten staan over het algemeen graag op ons tentenveld. Hier is ruimte voor zo’n 15 tenten. Deze kunnen alleen aan de rand van het veld opgesteld worden. In het midden van het veld bevindt zich onze kampvuur-plaats. Twee keer in de week kan hier kampvuur gestookt worden. Er zijn ongeveer 25 plaatsen aangesloten op het lichtnet, en rondom de receptie is er kosteloos gebruik te maken van WIFI. Huisdieren zijn, mits aangelijnd, van harte welkom.
