"Beautiful campsite - Nordufer Camping is actually one of our favorite campsites. The site itself has beautiful pitches that are not so heavily parceled out. It is more reminiscent of a nature campsite. You get a key for a door at the back of the site and, once you've crossed the little-used road, you can get straight to the Steinhuder Meer. There is a kiosk with a restaurant on the site and the sanitary facilities are well maintained. The nearest shopping facilities are in the small village of Mardorf, approx. 2.5 km from the campsite, where there is also an excellent fish restaurant. The next largest town is Neustadt am Rübenberge, approx. 10 km away. Both are easy to reach by ebike for shopping. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We also like the lunch/quiet time from 13:00 - 15:00. Very beautiful surroundings that are great to explore by bike.

"Totally unfriendly owner, does not answer and does not pay back - We had a fall on arrival and could not arrive. No understanding from the campsite owner. Neither the owner responded nor refunded our money. Despite severe disability and multiple letters. Absolutely not recommendable, especially since the place made a very unkempt impression. So be careful with advance payment. (And that if you ask 3 days in advance)

"Autumn vacation by the sea - We've been planning our vacation at Steinhuder Meer for a few years now, and now we've finally been able to put our many cycling and hiking tours into practice. We had very nice weather in the fall and a great time in the region. We were able to choose a pitch. Electricity, 2 adults with caravan cost €25/day. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the grass on the pitch was cut short. We have to leave one small negative point: the kiosk and snack bar were already closed in mid-October despite the good weather and a few guests. Conclusion: A great site in very beautiful surroundings with plenty of leisure activities.

"It was a good weekend - Kurt walk through the forest and in approx. 10 min. There is a bathing beach. Nice for surfing. Nice bike paths to Mardorf or to the Toten Moor to Neustadt Rübenberge. Sanitary facilities were ok. There are family bathrooms, get keys at reception. Bread rolls and nuthatch kiosk available. Restaurant too. On the whole it was good for us. We would gladly come back.

"Nice quiet place - We stopped here for a few days on our way to the Baltic Sea. The pitch was very clean and quiet. Especially now in Corona times we paid a lot of attention to distance and this worked well on the pitch. In the small kiosk you could pre-order bread rolls for the next day. The food from the restaurant could also be taken away.
