"CP with plenty of upside potential - Like many others, we chose this site because of its proximity to Legoland (12 km). Unfortunately, it is also mainly used for this by other campers, so that the observed length of stay was between 2 and 3 days, as it was for us. After a long time, I still only give it 1 star because the site really has too much potential for improvement and the positive features are quickly explained: good restaurant, good children's playground, clean cabins. We came with a family of friends and had booked a cabin and a pitch in advance. The hut key was handed over quickly; we were allowed to look for the pitch ourselves because it was neither reserved nor did reception have an overview of which pitch was free (quote "I hope pitch 26 is free".... of course it wasn't...). The site has two entrances. A little hint as to which of the 2 parts would have had capacity would have been nice, as we ended up at the furthest point from the hut in a valley, which is difficult to drive up with a camper van, especially uphill (gravel, steep and bend not visible to people => only two people can drive up, because one has to "keep the road clear" while the driver takes the hill with momentum). Otherwise, the parking space situation is sufficient. Unfortunately, the sanitary situation is not. Around 70 pitches share 2 toilets, 1 chemical toilet and 1 sink. This automatically leads to inconvenience. In the evening you can no longer use the sanitary facilities at all (stench and liquids on the floor). A renovated sanitary building is then back at the bathing lake. It's quite decent, but also so busy that it's difficult to keep it clean. The bathing lake: a nice idea and it is fed with fresh water from the "Veyle" stream. Non-swimmers and swimming areas are separated by buoys. Unfortunately, however, there are metal parts on the bottom that cannot be seen due to the murky water. Unfortunately, our friends' 7-year-old son bruised his foot there. There is duckweed floating on the water; the lake border is rotten (wood; splinters) and the water slide has also seen better days. We don't recommend using it without a mat. The 3-year-old's back was bloodied because he couldn't get it right with the mat, but he also really wanted to slide on his own...the transitions between the plastic parts are too hard and not properly maintained. Unfortunately, a lot of things on the site are not properly maintained except for the children's playground. It is really modern and tidy (the only one). Unfortunately, the borders are a tripping hazard as they are at foot height and can easily be overlooked in the heat of play and supervision. However, the huts are kept simple and clean, but huts 1-4 are probably too small for young children to sleep in. If this site had the money to carry out long-needed maintenance work, it would be a really great place. In theory, it offers many possibilities. In practice, you would prefer to just stay in your hut or pitch at the moment. Unfortunately. We and our friends won't be visiting this site again and won't be able to recommend it to our friends. What a pity.
