"June 2023 - I liked the proximity of the metro to visit Helsinki and a grocery store next to the campsite I didn't like the unmarked pitch at the back of the campsite in the gravel. The campsite does not deserve its 5 stars

"Capital City Camping - The site is located in the middle of a residential area. Nevertheless, access through the town is easy, regardless of the direction. Good signposting. The entire campsite team is very well organized. Pitches of different sizes are allocated. The "drive-through" layout of the pitches makes it easy to drive to and from the pitches. The pitches are asphalted with a small grass verge. Electricity on site, water points distributed throughout the site. The sanitary facilities were the cleanest on our trip from northern Finland to Helsinki. The proximity to the subway and two shopping centers is very positive. Although it is high season and a lot of people come from or go to the ferry - surprisingly quiet. Only the rather long walk to empty the chemical toilet, depending on the pitch, detracts from the very good overall impression. The site is recommended. But: make sure you book in advance!

"Good location, better than expected - After the rather mixed reviews for this campsite, we were pleasantly surprised. The pitch was not too small for our large CW with awning, the sanitary facilities were sufficient in number and in relatively clean condition, which is not a matter of course for the HS. Small beach on the bay, good train connection to the city.

"Campsite Rastila - The campsite is located close to the capital and is a good starting point for excursions etc. to Helsinki. The site is strictly divided into motorhomes/cabins/tent pitches and has a "road network". There is a supermarket opposite the reception

"Ideal for exploring Helsinki - The campsite is easy to reach. There are large and small pitches. No awning may be extended on the small pitches (fire regulations). Several sanitary blocks. They are clean and good. Metro is about 5 minutes away on foot. Supermarket is at the metro station. Metro takes about 20 minutes to Helsinki Central Station. Relatively quiet despite the size.
