"beautiful but too many long-time rentals to mostly migrant workers - Permanent places on camping mostly neglected. many migrant workers in the rental chalets and these still have a different daily rhythm than the holidaymakers. very nice location in wooded area and close to arnhem

"well-kept site in the forest near Arnhem - The campsite is now run by the Oostappen Group and is located in the forest (pine trees) about 6 km from the center of Arnhem, right next to the A12, which you can clearly hear. Some of the pitches are also overgrown with trees or the pitches are located between the trees, so that the access road is sometimes narrow. The site is very well maintained overall. The sanitary facilities are a little dated, but very clean. The washbasins are very close to each other, in the sanitary buildings in area D and C there were only three showers each (for men and women). In Holy Week 2016, sanitary building D was not sufficiently heated and the two available sockets (e.g. for blow-drying) had no electricity; sanitary building C was OK. The swimming pool was not open because it was too cold according to the information provided. Apparently the CP was only open from March 19 (start of the Easter vacations) in 2016. Wifi was not available. There is a snack bar, a pub and a small supermarket. We did not "test" the supermarket. Apart from a bakery in the Schaarsbergen district (which we also did not test), other shopping facilities are only available a few kilometers away (in Arnhem itself). The campsite is conveniently located for cycling tours in the Hoogen Veluwe and excursions to Arnhem, including Burgers Zoo.

" - We (2 adults 2 children) were on the pitch in section "C" over Ascension Day. The pitches are not demarcated but sufficiently large and interspersed with old (beautiful) trees. The proximity to the highway was clearly audible depending on the wind direction. The sanitary facilities are clean, but the showers are small for such a large site and there are no soap dispensers or hand drying facilities. (therefore 2 stars). The zoo is about 20 minutes by bike (comfortable ride) and to Arnhem about 40 minutes. *** Charcoal barbecue not allowed on the pitch ***
