"Great campsite - We were here for the long weekend and it was so schön👌🏼🥰 Hikes in the area, sports field for the children in the immediate vicinity. Great swimming pool, mini golf, etc... That's all you need. we'd love to come back.

"Small but nice campsite - This campsite is really family-run. The whole team at the campsite is super friendly and helpful. It is ideally located for people who like hiking. Several well-signposted hiking trails start in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. If you are staying longer, you can drive to the surrounding villages and use the nearest hiking trails. Culture is not neglected either. It is not far from the campsite to Eisenach (Wartburg), Gotha, Erfurt or the pretty town of Schmalkalden. 100 meters from the campsite, there is a beautifully designed outdoor pool with a large slide. There is also a mini golf course. My wife and I, as well as our dog, felt very comfortable on the campsite and in the surrounding area. We can really recommend this campsite. You are a welcome guest here. We do not recommend this area for cycling. There are no nice cycle paths and you have to use the normal road. It is also very hilly. Mountain bikers use the hiking trails. My wife and I were not the only ones who took the bikes back unused. The brewery in Friedrichroda is a great place to eat. Best wishes also to the camping friends from Finsterbergen. Many greetings from Münster from Silke and Jürgen.

"Wonderful small and family-run place - The campsite is located at the end of a narrow road right next to the forest. Those looking for hustle and bustle will probably not be satisfied. Rather, the site offers the opportunity to relax and explore the Thuringian Forest, whether by motorcycle, car, on foot or by bicycle. There is a bread roll service on site. That's all you need, as there are two butchers in the village with their own in-house production. The freshly stuffed Thuringians are excellent at both. There is also a village store in the village with everything you need and very tasty bread rolls We had a bungalow due to the time of year. Very clean and well-kept. Just like the sanitary facilities. The site is very lovingly laid out and you immediately notice that the camping experience of the operators flows into it. Just like the staff, they are very warm and helpful. If you are traveling with children, you can visit a small outdoor pool with a water slide etc. in less than 5 minutes on foot in summer. Dogs are welcome and allowed in the rental accommodation. Our conclusion: We will be back!

"Any time again - Please do not take the exit via Wolfsgasse according to the navigation system, but follow the signs. The place has few but all the more beautiful places. Many hiking trails and the village of Finsterbergen is a little 💎jewel

"Tents - A beautiful campsite in the middle of the forest. You have direct access to the surrounding hiking trails. The campsite's tent pitch is located right next to a barbecue area with a covered table, which was wonderful for every meal. In addition to the wonderful view, there was a small pond separating the rest of the campsite with vacation homes, pitches and all the other houses. The sanitary facilities are within walking distance, very well equipped and clean. An additional plus was the freely available and always accessible fridge where we as campers could temporarily store our fridge food.

"4 beautiful vacation days - Very lovingly designed pitch. Super wash house. Washing machine and dryer available and even washing powder is provided. Direct access to hiking trails from the campsite. The small town is not far away and there is a swimming pool next door. Nice lounge and the possibility to buy drinks for a small fee. Everything is very clean and tidy.
