"Place in a beautiful location - Beautifully situated on the fjord behind Ørsvågvær Camping. Pitches right by the water and on a somewhat secluded meadow. Sanitary facilities just adequate. Showers 10 NOK. Small kitchen, lounge, washing machines. V/E Small store at the reception, mainly souvenirs. Worst internet connection so far in Norway, despite full signal strength! Doesn't cost anything, but it's no good either. You can't even download a page properly. The price of NOK 270 doesn't seem quite reasonable.

"Nice location - The campsite is in a very nice location in a cove by the sea. The only drawback is that the pitches by the sea overlooking the rocks are only for caravans. The meadow for tents is a little to the side and it's further away to the toilets. But the more distant sites are nice too.

"Nice place for anglers - Beautifully situated site right on the water. Very good fishing opportunities. An ideal place for anglers. Service was very friendly. The sanitary facilities were clean. Would love to come back.

"Beautiful location, 6km to Svolvaer - This site offers numerous pitches with fantastic views. Some new terraces have been created. However, all the panoramic pitches are gravelled. The meadow area without a spectacular view is off the beaten track. WLAN is only available in the reception area and adjacent seating area. The sanitary facilities are old but were very clean on the 3 days of our visit - as always, I don't rate the guests' dirt. There are 2 washing machines, which you simply use and then pay for at reception on a trust basis. A real paradise for canoeists and anglers. The access road is very narrow and you have to drive with foresight.

"Most beautiful campsite in Lofoten - well??! - The location of the campsite is certainly beautiful and, above all, very quiet, but that's almost where the advantages end. To get a pitch by the water, you have to arrive very early and be very lucky (we were there in June). The area is quite spacious, the pitches by the water are gravel/gravelled, further up there is an area with grass, the site has just been extended and there was some noise disturbance as a result. The sanitary building was clearly overloaded and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired on some days! Overall, the sanitary buildings are very basic and in absolute need of renovation. The kitchen was also rather a disaster, sometimes there was no hot water, then the kitchen was flooded because a tap was leaking, we avoided the kitchen completely afterwards and did everything in the camper van. All in all, this site is far too expensive at NOK 290! The price/performance ratio is absolutely not right here!

Profile

Sandvika is a pearl in the Lofoten Islands, a wonderful holiday resort. It is approx. 1 km from the E10, the highway that runs through the Lofoten Islands. Turn off approx. 3 km west of Kabelvåg – the oldest town …in the Lofoten Islands. Sandvika Camping was established in 1970 by Markus and Edny Normann and is one of the oldest holiday camps in the region. In 1996, they handed over this gem of a resort to their son, Helge Normann. Sandvika is situated in an area of great natural beauty, with the Vestfjorden, Lofoten’s pantry, as it next-door neighbour. After 37 years of hard work, today’s resort has emerged as a true gem. It includes 15 modern cabins and seaside lodgings, all with kitchens, showers and WC, and 5 cabins with a kitchen and WC. Altogether 81 berths. We also have 150 spaces for tents and caravans, complete with electrical hookups, and set in magnificent scenic surroundings by the beach. The site has been adapted to facilitate the launching of boats, and we also have an excellent quay with a floating jetty and moorings for our guests’ vessels. There is also a gutting shed and barbecue where you can prepare your catch. By rowing boat or motorboat it is only a short distance from the resort to the Lofoten fishing grounds. Facilities: Beach, licensed café TV room. Laundromat/tumble drier. Playground. Excellent sanitary facilities. Toilet drainage facilities for motor homes with fixed or removable tanks. Activities: rowing boats, motorboats and bicycles for hire. Fishing trips together with an experienced skipper, or sea fishing from the rocks. Peaceful walks in the mountains and surrounding countryside with wild and wonderful scenery. Museum, aquarium and galleries within a 3 km radius.

Sandvika er en perle i Lofoten, et herlig feriested som du finner ca. 1 km fra E10 (Kong Olavs vei) gjennom Lofoten, med avkjørsel ca. 3 km vest for Kabelvåg - the old town in Lofoten Sandvika camping ble oppstartet …i 1970 av Markus og Edny Normann, og er en av de eldste campingplasser i regionen. I 1996 overlot de denne perlen til sønnen Helge Normann. Sandvika ligger i et naturskjønt område med Vestfjorden, Lofotens «spiskammer», som nærmeste nabo. Etter 37 års arbeid fremstår anlegget i dag som en ”perle” med 15 moderne hytter og sjøhus med kjøkken, dusj og WC. 5 hytter med kjøkken og WC. Totalt 81 sengeplasser, samt 150 telt og vognplasser med strøm som ligger i idylliske omgivelser -rett ved stranden. Stedet er godt tilrettelagt for sjøsetting av medbrakte båter, og vi har et godt kaianlegg med flytebrygge og båtfeste for gjestenes båter. Her er også sløyehus og grill for tilberedning av selvfisket fangst. Det er kort vei med robåt eller motorbåt til fiskefeltene på Lofothavet. Fasiliteter: Badestrand, Café med øl- og vinrettigheter. TV-rom. Automatvaskeri/tørketrommel. Lekeplass m.m.. Meget godt sanitæranlegg. Tømmeanlegg for bobiler med fast eller løs tank. Aktiviteter: Utleie av robåter, motorbåter og sykler. Fisketurer med fiskevant skipper eller fiske fra svaberg. Fotturer med fred og ro i fjell og mark – i vill og vakker natur. Museum, akvarium og gallerier i en avstand av 3 km.
