"spontaneous overnight stay - A very beautifully situated site that spontaneously took us in for an overnight stay. There was even a vegetable crate and a drinks fridge with a cash register.

"Idyllic and centrally located - As reported: The atmosphere on the campsite is very nice, bread service, there was pizza in the evening ... ;0)) We were pleasantly surprised and certainly not the last time on this beautiful site with our camper van!

"Tom, Karin and Finlay - The place is in the middle of nature, wonderfully quiet, super nice staff. Kayaking on the Schaalsee canal was great. We'll be back again, love and hugs to Merle the sweet mouse :)

"Very quiet, although fully booked in mid-August - We stayed at the camp for a week in mid-August with 4 people. It was fully booked and therefore really full, but still a very quiet atmosphere with extremely friendly people. There are lots of trees and so the tent is in the shade. 200m away is a nice bathing area with a jetty, which was never very crowded except at the weekend. Otherwise quite dreamy. You could see a lot of rudd swimming in the water, but there was also a lot of milfoil in the water that you had to swim through first. I like that because it shows that the water is biologically intact. The jetty was a great starting point for SUP trips. I found it stupid: 1. you need 1 euro coins for the showers. No coins, no other coins, nothing. 2. some caravans or motorhomes were so big that they had real difficulties getting to their pitch because of the many trees. They blocked the way if you wanted to drive away yourself.

"Peace at last - We were on the site over the Easter weekend and despite the large number of guests, both employees were relaxed and friendly the whole time. From 22.00 o'clock the request to behave in such a way that no one else is disturbed, we found that good and understandable. Making a fire and sitting together with others in a relaxed atmosphere was no problem. The sanitary facilities were clean but old, OK for us. Paddling was great, very good instruction with lots of tips on nature conservation.

Your thoughts drift back to the fun canoe adventure and how you explored the lakes around the Schaalsee Camp. Your neighbors …have also arrived with tents or converted vans to enjoy the camp’s great atmosphere—there are no permanent campers here! You can stay in your own accommodation or choose a tipi or covered wagon. Since the campsite is located in a high forest area, you can either soak up the sun or relax in a shady spot. Water lovers can book a pitch right by the canal. If the weather isn’t great, you can take shelter under the giant kite. Here, you’ll hear the rustling of trees, birds chirping, the crunch of bike tires, friendly conversations, and canoe instructions from the camp team—but you won’t hear music blaring from loudspeakers unless you bring your own headphones. Want to go canoeing or paddleboarding? We have everything you need for your adventure. And water lovers can take a refreshing dip in the lake at the swimming area!
