"Simple doesn't have to be good... - Actually beautifully situated, but - the areas not mowed and very uneven, - water tap in the chicken coop, - one shower and one toilet (luckily I'm an early riser), - kitchen was "rented". I don't have to have it again!

Der Bauernhof der Familie Schmidt liegt im Biosphärenreservats "Rhön" am Rande des Luftkurorts Ostheim. Camping-Gäste können entweder den befestigten Stellplätze im Innenhof des Anwesens nutzen oder auf der Streuobstwiese Quartier beziehen. Die sanitären Anlagen umfassen Dusche. Waschraum und WC sowie …eine Entsorgungsmöglichkeit für Chemietoiletten. Gegen Gebühr kann zudem die Küche im Aufenthaltsraum genutzt werden. Daneben bietet die Besitzerfamilie einen täglichen Brötchenservice an. Während die landschaftlich reizvolle sanft geschwungene Hügellandschaft der Rhön vor allem Erwachsene begeistert, macht Kinder das üppige Freizeitangebot auf dem Bauernhof glücklich: Sie dürfen hier Ponys, Hasen und Ziegen streicheln und füttern. Außerdem sie haben die Möglichkeit, Reitstunden zu nehmen. Des Weiteren stehen Groß und Klein ein Basketballkorb, Tischfußball sowie eine Slack-Line zur Verfügung. Ebenso können die jüngeren Gäste Tret-Bulldogs und Roller ausleihen, während eine Spielscheune zum Toben einlädt. Im nahe gelegenen Ostheim mit seinem historischen Ortskern befinden sich zudem ein Schwimmbad, eine Minigolfanlage sowie eine Museumsbahn.
