"Money promised but not received despite cancellation - My name is Aimee and I live as a foster child in a home near Engen. I wanted to stay in rented accommodation with my boyfriend for 3 days and paid the full amount of 300 euros for 3 nights when I made the booking. Unfortunately, my friend became ill and we had to cancel 6 weeks before the date. I was promised a 50% refund, i.e. 150 euros. After weeks I only got 130 euros back. The reason given by the place operator: "You should have called me and not my employees" For me, 170 euros is a lot of lost money. I have to earn the money back in my spare time by dog-sitting. It's very unfair of the operator.

"Halli Galli party place, nothing for recreation !!! - Well suited for all-night parties on weekends, which is also used extensively. During the week the place is almost empty. There is no janitor or groundsman etc. who maintains the site and so many things are broken or don't work properly. I will never come here again, the pitch is only good as a stopgap.

"Wonderful weekend on the square - We were at the campsite from 23.06.23-26.06.23 with the camper. We were given a friendly welcome when we registered and the site procedures were explained. The pitches are clearly marked and large enough. Access to the lake is direct and can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes. This means that a SUP is not too heavy :-) The sanitary facilities were clean and accessible 24 hours a day. (except for cleaning times) Beautiful bike tours are possible from the site and Sigmaringen or Campus Galli, for example, are easily accessible. All in all, we felt comfortable and will be back.

Seencamping Krauchenwies is situated directly on the water`s edge of the 19 ha huge Ablacher See on a plain open countryside parcelled out through bushes and hedges. The whole lake and extended parts of the shore are natural reserve. On …the lake`s eastern part the forests of the Princes of Hohenzollern are adjoining which are the home of exclusively domestic wood. Due to them we have an excellent quality in air around the Lake. On the opposite lake side there is the small placid village of Ablach. The lake with lawn, pebble beach and bathing jetty is available for all camping guests for bathing and fishing. There exists also a children`s playground on the campsite. Our campsite offers around 125 pitches and five “barrel hotels” and is opened all year round. Seencamping Krauchenwies is certified with 4 **** by BVCD. We are also certified as a cycle-friendly “bed & bike” business.

By car Direction from the A81 Exit 31 Empfingen, …direction Empfingen/Balingen/Haigerloch/Albstadt After 0,5 km go left on the B463, follow for 16 km Go left on B 27 direction Rottweil/Balingen/Albstadt/Engstlatt-Süd After 7 km take exit B 463 to Sigmaringen/Albstadt, then go right on the Wilhelm-Kraut-Strasse/B463. Follow for 36 km. Take the second exit (B313) in the roundabout. After 3,6 km continue on the L456. Follow for 7 km. Go right on Sigmaringer Str/B311, follow the B311, then go again right to Ablacher Strasse (signs to Ablach). There is a sign for the Campsite.
