"Mountains and sea in the lovely Abruzzo region - We had reserved a specific pitch. That worked out really well. The site is dominated by new mobile homes at the front and rather unsightly old concrete bungalows further back. In the rear part of the site are also the tourist pitches (parceled out), half of which are occupied by Italian permanent campers, so that there are perhaps around 30-40 free pitches. Some of the pitches are very steep and you have to level them out with wedges or boards. There is hardly any fresh water on the pitches and the sparse water columns are only equipped with pressure switches and "normal" taps, so you can't connect a hose. Electricity is available. The pool can be used without a swimming cap (for me this was a criterion for the pitch) and is quite well maintained. In contrast to the sanitary facilities. These were always quite clean, but unfortunately also very old. I wouldn't mind the age, but there were only four sitting toilets per sanitary block (two available) and there were no glasses in them. In my opinion, that's not good at all. The beach is very "pebbly" at the northern end but sandier in the southern part and quite ok. As is usual on the Adriatic, you have to put on your hiking boots to get into the deep water. You can reach Giulianova on foot or by bike via a pedestrian bridge (about 2 kilometers). The beach there is also nicer and wider than at the campsite. There is a small mini-market on the campsite, but a Conad on the main road (approx. 1.5 km away) and a mini-market directly at the junction to the campsite. There are plenty of shopping facilities in Giulianova. The campsite is relatively quiet despite the entertainment, partly because the quiet times are strictly adhered to (13:00 to 16:00 and 23:00 to 7:00 - no entry possible during these times). Cars must be parked outside the campsite and may only be driven onto the campsite for loading and unloading.
