"Modern square on the banks of the Mjosa - Very well-kept modern site with a beautiful shoreline. Some bathing bays and a small harbor. The state road is unfortunately audible day and night, but not particularly loud. Very well-kept and clean sanitary facilities. Some play facilities for children. Shopping facilities available.

"Very nice tent spot - The best place if you have a tent. A beautiful fiew over the lake. First we wanted to rent a cabain but we didnt like the location.

"Huge but clean and great location - We stayed on the site for one night with our motorhome. The campsite is very large. We were there in the low season and had a pitch in a beautiful location right on the lake. Great beach and large playground for the children. You can hear the E6 main road, but it doesn't disturb you. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and clean. Fast and free WiFi included, showers cost extra. A clear recommendation from us.

"The best places are reserved for tents - Situated directly on the water with many elaborately designed permanent pitches. Very friendly reception, English is a matter of course. There is free choice of pitches without pitch numbers. It is advisable to arrive early as it gets full towards the evening. The grass on the day pitches was no longer in the best condition in the middle of the high season (early August), but the view over the lake more than makes up for it. The nearby country road is a bit of a nuisance. There is a well-stocked mini store next to the reception. Fishing in the lake is free of charge. We paid NOK 330 for a camper van including electricity and 2 people at the beginning of August. Showers are extra. We will be back.

"6 persons - Accommodation - We slept in the 6-person accommodation (6 of us). It was in top condition. Everything was very clean, private bathroom (shower + toilet) with underfloor heating, small kitchen with sufficient equipment (pan, 3 pots, cutlery and electric stove with oven, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The beds were without comforter cover, clean and comfortable. 2 double bunk beds, 1 double bed in a separate room. The small village store has fair prices (as in the Spar market 5 km away) but with a very manageable selection. Free WLAN (which we just used to write this review ;-) ) Price > 21,00 Euro per person (Booking.com showed it strangely more expensive)

"Good place to stay - We stayed in a cabin as it was cheaper than a tent. The place is good value for money. The toilets are clean and the place is well maintained. There's a recreation area for kids and access to the lake. We'd definitely enjoy it even more if it was not raining.

Sveastranda Camping is a 4 star camping which is open the whole year. The campsite is situated by lake Mjøsa. You will find modern sanitary buildings with family rooms and nursery room on the campsite. There are approx. 300 spots …for caravans, campers and tents. 2 apartments and 33 cabins for rent, 11 with shower. Free WIFI. Grocery store with fresh bakery from the beginning of May untill the end of August. Good swimming facilities, minigolf, barbecue hut, large playground, good fishing opportunities in lake Mjøsa and Stokkelva river, rental of pedal boats, canoes, SUP and boats. Excellent hiking facilities. Free use of CamperClean for all guests.

Sveastranda Camping is beautifully situated along the lake, only 12 km north of the town Gjøvik and 3 km south of the "Mjøsbrua" bridge where road no. 4, linking the lake towns, Gjøvik, Lillehammer and Hamar, crosses the lake. The …campsite is open all year long. There are numerous possibilities for excursions, for instance to Hunderfossen Amusement Park, Raufoss Badeland (indoor swimming pools, jacuzzis, etc.), the Olympic arenas, Skibladner (old paddle steamer).
