"Beautifully situated, good starting point for the NC500 - Sanitary facilities are older and basic but clean. Washing machine costs £3, dryer £2. Laundry lines are available. The power supply and pitches have probably been upgraded since the last reviews here. You stand on gravel pitches with grass in front of the door. Electricity is available directly at the pitch. The view is beautiful. There is a footpath along the coast past the campsite.

"Well located starting point for the north coast - Simple, but well maintained pitch. Sanitary facilities simple but clean. The power supply is a bit extensive, you need a lot of cable and it can happen that other campers drive over and onto the cable. However, there is a large Lidl supermarket directly in front of the site, which even has fresh bread and rolls on Sundays. Even wholemeal!

"View of the Orkney Islands - The campsite is located on the edge of the town of Thurso. It is easy to find. You stand in the meadow here, which can lead to wet feet when it rains. The rain forms puddles and unfortunately drains badly. The sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned daily around lunchtime. The doors are secured with a code lock as the site is not fenced. You can see the sea, the Orkney Islands and the Dunnt Head lighthouse (the most northerly point in Scotland) from every part of the campsite. There is a restaurant/café on the campsite. Unfortunately, meal times are limited. The town center can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. There are a few stores there, but they close early. There is a large supermarket across the road from the campsite. You can get everything you need here. The ferry to the islands is only a few minutes away. The campsite is therefore a good stopover.

"Close to the town and Orkney ferry - Flat, relatively unadorned but well-kept meadow area within walking distance of the center of Thurso. The town itself is not particularly attractive, although it does have a small pedestrian area. Nice view over the bay. Decent sanitary facilities. Restaurant on the pitch. New, large discount store in the immediate vicinity with - if you come from the loneliness of the north - disturbingly low prices and a huge selection. Good stopover before the crossing to the Orkneys (Scrabster-Stromness).

"you eat at 6 o'clock - Camping by the sea, spacious but with only 3 places on gravel the rest is on grass. Wifi included in price restaurant despite name closes at 8:30 pm.

Die Stellplätze sind zum Meer hinaus gerichtet, und man hat einen Tollen Ausblick auf die Steilküste. Auf dem Campingpark gibt es auch Mobile Homes zu mieten. Stromanschlüsse befinden sich am Stellplatz, auf festem Boden. Die Wasseranschlüsse sind in der Nähe …der Stellplätze. Ein Diner Restaurant mit Bar befindet sich direkt am Park. Die Sanitäranlagen sind mit einem Nummerncode begehbar, und Rollstuhlgerecht ausgestattet. Ein Waschsalon mit Trockner steht Ihnen zur Verfügung. Für WIFI entstehen Extrakosten.
