"Pure idyll - There are modest opening hours at the reception, but you just settle in. There is a lot of friendliness from the staff (women 18 - 20 years old) It is probably the nicest cleaned site this summer. The price was DKK 140,- for pitch, one person, electricity.

" - Beautifully situated nature campsite, some pitches with electricity. New, very clean sanit. Facilities and kitchen area. Friendly and helpful staff. Access: approx. 3 km before Jsafjördur there is a large supermarket with gas station on the left on the main road, approx. 100 m after that turn left, follow the signs for golf course/camping. Continue past the golf course for approx. 1 km to Camping Tungudalur. Ideal starting point for visiting the Westfjords, e.g. Sudureyri, 23 km. To Jsafjördur, capital of the Westfjords, approx. 3 km, large harbor with parking space for motorhomes, center with small stores. If you need medical help you can be treated in the newly built hospital, simply contact the reception, describe the problem and make an appointment with the doctor. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and speak English.
