"Ideal at the ferry terminal - Ideal place if you want to cross over to the Hebrides. Not suitable for overnight stays. TV reception o.k. No wifi.

"Good place to wait for the ferry to Harris - Campsite close to the ferry terminal, flat, gravelled pitches. The site is well frequented, not parceled out and is located directly in the bay of Uig. Electricity and sanitary facilities are ok, the site itself is clean and the staff uncomplicated - all in all it's nice...

"Uig Campside - The island is beautiful and here we found a quiet place with a very nice owner, small but nice. Also suitable for wheelchairs as the owner has built ramps. However, the sanitary facilities are very poor.

"Nothing for long ... - ... but perfect as a stopover for one night .... Restaurant nearby, and ferry port to the Outer Hebrides ...

"Simple and practical - The site is well suited to those passing through. There is a large grass area for tents in the upper section, while the gravelled area in the lower section is used to accommodate caravans and motorhomes. The sanitary building has limited facilities and is therefore rather basic. The staff are friendly and helpful.

" - An ingenious accommodation for all passengers on the morning ferry - it's only 2 minutes away. The price is very reasonable and you can sit wherever you like on the large lawn, which runs gently up a slope. Due to the lakeside location, it was comparatively windy, but this proved to be very advantageous in view of the mosquito season. A washing machine and dryer are also available. Next door you could visit the island brewery (until 5 pm).

Uig ist ein nettes Hafendörflein mit wenigen Einwohnern direkt am Meer und an der Fähre zur schönen Insel Lewis & Harris gelegen. Es gibt viele kleine Souvenirläden und einheimische Produkte aus Handarbeit. Einen richtigen Supermarkt finden Sie nicht, aber einen …kleinen Einkaufshop an der Tankstelle, der etwas teurer ist als ein normaler Supermarkt. Die Stellplätze auf dem Campingplatz Uig Bay sind mit Strom und Wasser ausgestattet und befindet sich auf festem Boden. Die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber mit Toilettenpapier, warmen Duschen und auch rollstuhlgerecht ausgestattet. Der Campingplatz ist günstig und es gibt wenige Stellplätze, deshalb ist es ratsam, so früh wie möglich anzureisen. WLAN empfangen Sie für einen Extrapreis, den sie an der Rezeption erfragen können.
