"They were very relaxing days - We stayed there for a few days with our caravan and can only agree with all the positive reviews. Everything was just right for us and we were absolutely thrilled with everything. The pitches here are presumably a former campsite and all pitches are equipped with the bare essentials. We were initially considering whether to take a pitch with its own bathroom, but this is absolutely not necessary given the short distance to the hotel's own sanitary facilities. We were really impressed by the very friendly and helpful staff and everything else.

"Campsite on the edge of the forest, with wellness - Straightforward booking by telephone. The campsite is located behind the hotel, quietly on the edge of the forest with numerous hiking trails through the beautiful Haard forest area. Some pitches are available with private sanitary facilities. These are comfortably equipped. Without private sanitary facilities, the shower facilities in the hotel are used. There is also a small toilet block on the site. There are also two dishwashing blocks. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is included in the price, as is the use of the sauna area in the hotel. Numerous saunas are available for sweating. We were very satisfied and will certainly come back to this beautiful place.

"Great wellness place - The pitches are beautiful and pleasantly quiet. Short walk to the hotel and the sauna area. The breakfast and the cuisine in general are excellent. The campsite is still under construction, so some things are still a bit makeshift. Chemical toilet has to be disposed of at the gully, flushing house a bit primitive. Overall, however, this does not detract from the wellness vacation. We've been there 13 times and always come back.

"Great idea - the rest still needs work - The idea that you can sleep in your own bed and go straight to the spa in your bathrobe is really brilliant. And the fact that you can book the whole thing with half board - great! Because the food in the hotel was really good. The Waldhaus is not to be recommended - the Friday BBQ was a disaster, bad atmosphere, unmotivated staff and a BBQ should actually be grilled... Here unfortunately only frozen patties on the grill plate. The pitch was completely okay, unfortunately the surroundings didn't fit in with the rest. Isolated pitches between permanent campers, construction sites in many places and completely loveless. We felt like we were "parked" here - what a shame. There is no wash house (only rental bathrooms) - use of the showers and toilets in the wellness area.

"Pure luxury - Professional, very friendly service, first-class breakfast and a sauna area that is second to none make a vacation here a real relaxation experience. The focus here is clearly on the wellness experience. There is a choice of saunas to suit every taste, as well as relaxation rooms. Various teas and water are available free of charge at all times. The loungers are all equipped with a cozy blanket and upon arrival you will receive a basket bag with a bathrobe and several towels, which you can exchange for fresh ones every day. The breakfast buffet offers everything you can imagine in the best quality and with friendly service. The Christmas package also included a lunch snack. Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. you could help yourself to a buffet with salad, a hearty dish and various cakes. The pitch price made us gulp at first, but was more than reasonable for what was on offer. Our stay here was the highlight of the year. We have already booked another pitch for next year.

BAB 2: Ausfahrt Datteln (B 235) geradeaus bis zur Stadtmitte von Datteln. Am Neumarkt (Busbahnhof) links vor dem Möbelhaus Braukhoff abbiegen. Am Ende der Straße (Gabelung) rechts fahren. Sie fahren immer geradeaus, verlassen Datteln. Am Stoppschild (nach ca. 4 km) …weiter geradeaus. Nach ca. 2 km liegt unser Hotel auf der linken Seite. Bitte im Wald auf den Wegweiser achten! BAB 43: Ausfahrt Marl-Nord, Haltern-Flaesheim. Auf der Schnellstraße bis zur ersten Ampel. An der Ampel rechts, durch Flaesheim durch, in Richtung Datteln-Ahsen. Nach ca. 6 km an der beampelten Kreuzung (Ahsen) rechts Richtung Oer-Erkenschwick. An der nächsten Kreuzung (nach ca. 3 km und ohne Ampel) wieder rechts. Nach ca. 2 km liegt unser Hotel auf der linken Seite. Achtung! Sollten Sie von Oer-Erkenschwick aus kommen, so warnen wir Sie vorsorglich vor dem „Blitzer“ in der 50 km/h-Zone kurz bevor es links ab geht Richtung Jammertal. Gute Fahrt!
