"Disappointing for a 5 star place - The pitches are really big, but only sand and one car parking space has been gravelled at each pitch. The paths are also only gravel and the children have no chance to ride a board or inline skates. As new plants have been planted between the pitches, the overall feeling is as if you were camping in a parking lot. Absolutely not appealing and not a bit of shade. But in a few years' time, when the planting has grown, it certainly won't be bad. There is water, but you have to open the manhole cover and there is a hose from which you can get water. But the worst thing was the wash houses. There are three wash houses on the whole site, one of which is in the middle of all the mobile homes that don't actually need one. There are 2 dishwashing sinks in each wash house, i.e. only 6 for the whole site, which means you have to queue every day until you can wash up and when it's your turn, there's only cold water. The same problem with the toilets (only 4 normal + 2 disabled toilets) and 8 showers per wash house. All for both sexes, there is no separation. Queuing at the toilets every day and queuing at the showers. I wonder how a new campsite can be so sparsely equipped, and then by a chain like Yellow Camp, which should actually be experienced. They did clean twice a day, but only the floor. The washbasins and toilets were cleaned less often. We had the same lipstick smeared in the sink for three days. How can you let a new facility fall into such disrepair. What is really very praiseworthy is the pool, which is really very nice. However, if you want to swim in the lake, you're out of luck, because you can't really swim in this lake, you walk in for ages and are still waist-deep in water. I didn't manage to walk in far enough to be able to swim. The evening program also leaves a lot to be desired for a 5 star place.

"Vacation on the construction site - We booked 2 1/2 weeks on this campsite and were really looking forward to spending our summer vacation on this 5 star campsite with our 4 CHILDREN. When we arrived at the campsite at the end of June, we were one of the first campers with caravans. The rental accommodation was already occupied mainly by families with children not of school age. We were surprised at first. On Google Earth, the site was still a pine forest and then 60 hectares of cleared land with no old trees. 2 of the 3 wash houses were not yet open. The first pitch we were offered was 500 m away. We looked for another one with trees from the neighboring CP. But 3 trees do not a forest make .... And it got hot, up to 44°C in the shade. But the biggest problem was the lack of grass. The ground consisted of sand, forest soil and tar (next to the CP oil is required, with pumps). We looked like pigs. Our feet were always dirty and everything that touched our feet and the ground was dirty. At some point you give up and let everything get dirty ... . The pitches are about 90 - 100 square meters in size (not 120 + as in the brochure). There are a few larger ones at the toilets or towards the animation. The water supply is not yet installed. Every 4 pitches there was a connection box in the ground with 1/2 " ball taps. (see photos). The sanitary facilities are cleaned once a day. In the evening they look ... . There was no toilet paper and soap for the first few weeks, but then in very strange places 😕. No garbage cans on the campsite either. The garbage cans were at the entrance of the CP at the reception, which means up to 1200 m away from the pitches. there are 6 washing machines and 4 dryers (programs all ran for about 30 min ??) The "amphitheater" was not yet finished and tools like the circular saw were professionally secured with flutter tape against misuse by children. At the end of the vacation, the stage made of pallets crashed apart during an evening event. Guests were not injured (but an entertainer was). PS: a 5 star campsite with toilets without toilet seats? Is that still true? Fortunately there were luxury disabled toilets which also had glasses. 😕 The entertainment was provided by a Dutch company. A boss (about 24 years old) and some girls or young women. They made an effort ... . As our youngest offspring was 12 days too young, he was unfortunately not allowed to visit the mini club. But only French or Dutch was spoken beforehand. In terms of peace and quiet: next to the campsite is the sports airport of Biscarross, which is home to a flying school, which carries out its exercises over the campsite and the lake with its propeller planes from 8:00 a.m. or the garbage is picked up or the construction machines (excavators) drive over the campsite. The price level is impressive. The swimming pool has 5 stars but not (yet) the campsite. Thanks again to Camping.info for the ranking list. Whoever is at the top deserves it !!! and not given by themselves. ,....,.........,....................................................... ................................................................................ ...........
