"Camping near the city - I would describe the campsite as functional. It's easy to get to Ystad. Either by bus or in a few minutes by bike. The pitches are rather small. The sanitary facilities are also functional. The store sells the essentials. The restaurant was privately booked one evening. The solo entertainer entertained not only the guests but also the campsite with his party hits. Shortly after 22:00 it was over and it was a quiet night after all.

"disappointing - If you like a campsite with big city charm... the pitches are cramped - always full - sometimes overflowing garbage containers on Sunday evenings - queues at the sanitary facilities - the whole thing is always noisy due to road and rail noise - but then you pay SEK 460 per night for that We will not be coming back

"Full and tight - I didn't like the place at all. It was noisy and very cramped. The sanitary facilities were totally outdated and also very cramped. There were also far too few toilets, showers and washing facilities for the many people. There were regular waiting times for showers, but there was no room to wait at all. There were also no squeegees for the showers.

"No campsite for travelers with a tent - The sanitary facilities are fine. If you are traveling with a tent, you should look for another place, because the tent meadow is located directly on the thoroughfare. The advantage is the proximity to the ferry.

"City and beach camping - We spent a weekend in mid-May exploring Wallander's area. Mostly permanent campers, but still enough free pitches to choose from. A little noisier near the road, otherwise quite quiet. Good footpaths and cycle paths to the town center (1.5 km) or to the beach (400 m). Sanitary older but well maintained and clean. Butik (groceries/bread rolls) only open at weekends in low season. Staff friendly and helpful.

"Keeps what it promises - The site is mostly occupied by permanent campers, of whom there were only a few at the time of our stay. As we were pretty much in the middle of the site, we didn't find the road or the train disturbing. The sanitary facilities, which were spread over several buildings, were well equipped and well maintained, as was the kitchen. We arrived in the morning and were allowed to choose our own pitch. In the afternoon, the new arrivals were allocated the remaining spaces by the very friendly staff. We can award further plus points for the short distance to the very beautiful beach and the town center of Ystad. A well-marked cycle path takes you there in just a few minutes. Other recommended destinations are the boat launch in Kaseberga and the dream beach in Sandhammeren. If you are a little fit, you can easily reach these destinations by bike. We can highly recommend the campsite for a short stay of a few days.
