"Attention! Comparative price 17,- is wrong. Actually 26,50 - The comparison price is actually more than 50% higher than indicated! (17,-/26,50) Campsite and sanitary facilities are very unkempt. Showers cost extra! Emptying the chemical toilet into large barrels. Very loud camping guests are tolerated without reservation.

"Very nice - Every time a very relaxed camping I am happy to go back every year we always go there at least once a year if not more often unfortunately the toilets are not so nice but the rest makes up for it too

"Creepy. Does not correspond to the price range. - See above. Already rated ! For less fees it would be tolerable. But what is not acceptable at all is the overstocked garbage and the disgusting chemical toilet disposal containers! Hygiene in the minus range. The question is whether all this is still technically permissible. ??? Should be checked by the trade inspectorate.

"Super, everything you need is there - There were two of us, the madam and I, quiet at night except for a few disturbances by partying, polite requests and leaving. Very friendly atmosphere in general, very clean. Hiking goes well located directly on the Stauseerundweg you come to the Hermannfelsen in the local history museum Reitzengeschwenda and and and. Bathing is super flat shore area and for swimmers (leisure) about 260m wide. Very sunny and great for relaxing and switching off (chillout mode). The snack bar is very tasty, no oversupply but there is something for everyone, the snack bar Mike is friendly and also available for a chat. We were totally relaxed and completely satisfied. Recommendation.

"Great nature, nice people, but also weaknesses - Beautifully situated, in the middle of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, with fair prices and plenty of hiking and cycling tours in the beautiful surroundings. The sanitary area could be refreshed (permanent flooding in the shower). Friendly reception and always ready to provide information. It was ideal for our short vacation!

"Super campsite, great with children - After two terrible nights at another campsite in southern Thuringia, we ventured a little further and drove to the Hohenwarte dam - this idyllic campsite gave us a successful vacation after all. We were there with friends and a total of seven children aged 2 to 8 and what can I say - everything was great. Quiet, great place right on the water, playground, clean sanitary facilities with everything you need. And the price was really reasonable (€21.50 per night for a tent and car for a family of 5). We will certainly be back, even if it is a little further.

Der Thüringer Wald zählt nicht nur wegen seinen unzähligen Wanderwegen und weiten Wäldern sowie Naturschutzgebieten zu den beliebten Ausflugszielen Deutschlands, sondern auch wegen der Spezialitätenküche und dem traditionellen Kunsthandwerken. Der „Zeltplatz Hopfenmühle“ stellt Caravan- und Wohnmobilstellplätze sowie eine Zeltwiese an …dem aufgestauten Talsperrensee mit Bootsstegen zur Verfügung. Diese sind mit Strom- und Wasseranschlüssen auf naturbelassenen Rasen mit Sanitäranlagen, Duschen und WC am Stellplatz ausgestattet. Ferienbungalows gehören zum Bild des Platzes und es gibt Dauercampingplätze. Außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten kann der Platzwart telefonisch zur Öffnung der Schranken kontaktiert werden. An den Wochenenden gibt es einen kleinen Kuchenbasar mit Köstlichkeiten, den junge Frauen aus der Ortschaft organisieren. Neben dem Campingplatz verwöhnt ein Speiselokal mit Kneipe durch Speisen und Getränken. Einige hundert Meter vom Campingplatz entfernt kann man Thüringer Klöße probieren. Der Campingplatz liegt idyllisch mit einem Volleyballfeld direkt am Wasser.
