"Disappointing campsite – poor sanitation, cramped pitch and chaotic organisation - We camped here as a family in August 2026 and unfortunately found the basic camping experience well below expectations. Our pitch was surprisingly small given the amount of land at the property. The sanitary facilities were poorly maintained: toilets were dirty, toilet paper was sometimes missing, several lights were broken and dirty ashtrays were left around the site. The showers were particularly frustrating. Cleaning was scheduled during the busy evening period when families naturally wanted to shower. We waited around 90 minutes with our children. When we complained, we were told there was no manager present and staff eventually walked away from the discussion. Check-in was advertised from 15:00 but was delayed by approximately an hour because of staff shortages. We also witnessed staff shouting at one another. The campsite has a very distinctive atmosphere. Our pitch was on a lane called “Fickt Euch Allee” (essentially “F*** You Avenue”), facing several rather tatty caravans that appeared to be permanently stationed there. The site has a strong alternative/heavy-metal character. Some visitors may enjoy this, but families expecting a conventional, welcoming campsite should know what they are booking. We also smelled what appeared to be cannabis smoke at around 08:00 each morning, although we cannot identify its source. Parents should be aware of a pond very close to the children's play equipment which, in our opinion, did not appear adequately protected from young children. Wi-Fi at the pitch costs €5 per day, although free Wi-Fi is available in a small designated area. One positive was the free table football, which our children enjoyed. Overall, our impression was that the festival/event side of the venue receives more attention than the campsite. The combination of cramped pitches, dirty facilities, maintenance problems, poor organisation and staff behaviour made this one of our least enjoyable camping stays. We would not return.

"Wild place for wild people - The campsite that dances out of line. Live music, campfires and singing, good beer and good food. If you want peace and quiet at 9 p.m., you've come to the wrong place.

"Wild place - The campsite is in a beautiful setting in the Black Forest and the owners and staff are friendly and helpful. But the CP makes an unkempt impression. The gray water in the toilets and the camper toilet had to be emptied. The floor looked correspondingly dingy because a lot went wrong when emptying. No chemical toilet was allowed to be emptied in the toilets. You have to drive to the next CP or pitch! What an imposition! The showers were old, with shower curtains and cobwebs on the ceiling. The power supply was a disaster. There were power lines all over the site as there were only a few power boxes. The cake that was available to buy was overpriced, cost €4.00 and didn't taste good. The BBQ was also disappointing for the price. W-Lan is only available at the restaurant.
