- Marco H.July 2013We stayed in Stensjö for three nights at the beginning of July 2013. The average number of pitches occupied on the site, which offers around 40 pitches, was 5 for the whole time, so it was very quiet. The site is run by a family, a very friendly couple who also speak German. Registration was easy via... email, without prepayment. When we said that we might not arrive until after 10pm due to the ferry connection, that was no problem either. We could have called and they would have opened the gate for us. The site itself is in a clearing in the woods, about 400 m from the beach and lake. The pitches are parceled out, almost flat and approx. 100 m² in size. The sanitary facilities are below average in terms of number and equipment, i.e. very basic but clean. The showers are very cramped and cost extra, but this is reasonable. Unfortunately, the "scullery" does not deserve the name. That was my wife's biggest complaint. There is a small playground, which was perfectly adequate for our children. Canoes can be hired from the operator. There is a volleyball court and a football pitch. The beach is great with small children as the non-swimmer area is completely enclosed, as is often the case in Sweden. The lake is one of the warmest in Sweden. We recommend a trip to Karlskrona and the Kingdom of Glass. Astrid Lindgren World in Vimmerby is also worth a day trip, combined with a detour to the glassworks (e.g. Kosta Boda). We felt at home. In our opinion, the site is suitable for those who don't want so much hustle and bustle. The operator always has an open ear. Better sanitary facilities would be desirable in any case. This site is unsuitable for campers who like disco, events and hustle and bustle in the evening, but for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers, the site is highly recommended. The site is ideal for groups. With a lot of goodwill a total of 3 stars, the sanitary facilities unfortunately don't work at all. Otherwise the place deserves more.Traducido automáticamente.
- Oswald K.July 2013We are definitely friends of the 2 and 3 star CP. It is very scenic. The water is too far away for us personally, considering the description of the campsite. The (public) beach was extremely crowded. The toilets were well maintained, but partly defective. A toilet seat that was not fixed should not... be there. Unfortunately, you couldn't dry your hands in the toilets :-( Although it's a small campsite, it needs a proper scullery. What is on offer here is far below average. We think the campsite is ideal for families with small children. For us there was too much hustle and bustle and the standard was too low. Around EUR 23 (incl. electricity) was too much.Traducido automáticamente.
