At night you can hear the humming of the ship's engines, reminiscent of northern Germany (Norden etc...)
On Friday there is Steckerlfisch in the restaurant on the square, highly recommended, the choice of beers... is almost endless.
Everyone is totally relaxed there, you sit by the water, look out over the palm trees in the marina, almost a southern flair.
Gastronomy also recommended in the surrounding area, Mauthausen is 20 minutes away by bike.

Such a nice restaurant at the campsite that you wish you were staying here and not just passing through on vacation. You can choose your own pitch. We stood by the small stream, where a small swan family also lived, and the site has lots of trees and bushes, like a small park, pure idyll... Top sanitary facilities and super clean. The operators are always friendly... and helpful. We went on great bike rides and then went swimming in the Danube. Fresh bread rolls or a small breakfast are available at the registration desk / restaurant. We will be back ;-)Automatski prevedeno.

It was actually only a spontaneous emergency solution because the desired place in Lower Austria was occupied - we are now glad about it! There is a kiosk in front. From May, a cabaret stage is organized here every Sunday from 4 pm, which is certainly very interesting. The sanitary facilities are brand new and were very clean. However, there were only about... 15 camping guests on the site. You can get bread rolls at the bakery about 100 meters away. There is a large playground in front of the site and a sunbathing lawn with a volleyball court on the Danube for the dog to let off steam. Perfect. - Wolf H.August 2018Dobre straneGreat location on the cycle path, Linz very beautiful and recommended for a day trip.Negativne stranelong power cable, drinking water far away.Directly on the Danube cycle pathIf you want to cycle along the Danube cycle path towards Vienna or Linz, this is the place for you. The approach is a bit tricky, you have to drive onto the Danube embankment and thus directly onto the cycle path. But with care, it's also feasible for longer caravans. Friendly staff, clean, new sanitary... facilities. Unfortunately, the site as a whole didn't look very well maintained. Lawn not mowed for a long time, some quite damp spots. Water points quite widely scattered, long power cable urgently needed. The disadvantages are accepted, you sit in the middle of nature and directly in the hedge next to the breakfast table a pair of blackbirds were breeding and were quite trusting.Automatski prevedeno.

I can only say that everything was great, the operator was extremely friendly and helpful. We celebrated many a party in his restaurant. There were many a drink at the expense of the house. Sanitary facilities were adequate... for the relatively small pitch. Clean and hygienic. Free choice of pitches and very large. If you want, you have shade or sun all day long. Lots of trees provide shade, which was much needed in May 2018 due to the temperatures. The pitches are large...you almost feel like you're in a park. The Danube flows behind us, the birds are chirping and there is no road noise. The Danube... cycle path runs between the Danube and the campsite...great not only for cycling, but also for walking. The sanitary building is new, modern and very clean. Our two dogs also felt at home. There are shallower entrances to the Danube where they could swim.Automatski prevedeno.
