The host Toni is super nice and very flexible.
The place is cozy and beautiful and you have a great view.

Another wonderful experience
The site is small and manageable. The view of the mountains is all around from every pitch. The sanitary facilities are always clean. The atmosphere is very friendly and uncomplicated in terms of inquiries and billing. Super pleasant with dogs. There is a small store with a bakery nearby. We have been coming here for several years. There is a small playground with table tennis for children. There are two archery courses nearby.

Far too expensive for what it offers
We paid €47 for three people and a car. For this you have a tent pitch that is not mowed properly and is very far away from the somewhat antiquated and undersized sanitary facilities. It was reasonably clean. The owner is not exactly a paragon of friendliness either. We arrived at 9:45 pm because everything... that could go wrong on our climbing tour did go wrong. The reception was quite reserved and we were told to set up the tent immediately and also to shower straight away so that we wouldn't disturb other campers... So if we don't have to, we certainly won't come here again.

No disposal possible for motorhomes.
Disposal for motorhome
When I asked whether the chemical toilet of a motorhome could also be disposed of for a fee when passing through, I was refused. This information seems important, as according to the tourist office, overnight stays are permitted at the Schattenlagenhütte. In that case, it would not be a bad idea to dispose of waste in the area. Note: we were not there, but the input mask requires an entry here, otherwise it cannot be sent.

Nice courteous staff. Nice view. Small grocery store (with baked goods) only 2 minutes walk.

Difficult access for larger motorhomes (narrow). The sanitary area is a bit outdated.

the wi-fi is far too expensive.
Small campsite on the main road
The campsite is on the main road, but it is quiet at night. We were not pleased with the sanitary facilities, some of them were moldy and there was almost no room to get dressed outside the shower, and there was no hairdryer. I could not feel comfortable there for a long time.

Clean, simple and uncomplicated.

Larger purchases must be made in Bürs or further afield. Only one restaurant in the immediate vicinity. So in the evening by car :-(
If you like it relaxed, this is the place for you.
Pitches simply on the meadow, which is not soaked even after rain. Depending on the pitch, the traffic on the passing road can be disturbing. Otherwise small, cozy and very clean. Hikers get their money's worth and can get on the bus 100 meters further on to continue into the valley or up to the Tschengla plateau. .

Sanitary facilities no longer up to date
Small space with potential
The campsite is located right at the entrance to the village, so it can be quite noisy from the road. The pitches are partly on uneven grass. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather and the pitches were quite muddy. The sanitary facilities are clean, but no longer up to date. 2 toilets and three... washbasins (single cubicle without door) together in a room of about 12 square meters, you don't really want that on vacation. If you were lucky, the family bathroom was free. The restaurant mentioned 200 m away is a 4-star hotel restaurant. It would be nice if you could perhaps get a wine or a beer at the campsite. The campsite was visited almost exclusively by Dutch people. The location is good for hiking, there is plenty to do.
