- Baptiste B.August 2021PozitívumokThe view is just pretty!NegatívumokThe reception and cleanliness are really disgusting, shit on the walls of the toilets and rats I've never seen that in my life and then it says 2 stars If you have the choice really do not go there!!! 💩👎Disgusting welcome and cleanliness!!!We were greeted like shit I've never seen kids at reception who look down on us and don't listen to you talk, who explain the rules to you without articulating in a very quick way, they even take the liberty of telling me the date when I'm writing the cheque, really taking me for a fool, then we discovered... shit on the walls the first night with rats, the toilets are only cleaned once a day and at 4 a.m. to wake you up, and then they say they're 2 stars, I'll never go back there again in my life, I really don't recommend it to everyone!!!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Stefan T.September 2019simple place in a good locationThe campsite is located near Lac Saint Croix. It is a good starting point for tours around the Gorges du Verdon. It is laid out in terraces and offers a good view over the lake at higher altitudes. There is a small store and a restaurant in front of the campsite.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Klaus-Peter A.August 2016PozitívumokFantastic location, many leisure activities, very reasonably pricedNegatívumokSometimes a bit noisy, sanitary facilities sometimes borderline typical for the regionGreat location right at the entrance to the gorgeBeautifully situated site at the entrance to the Verdon Gorge. The site is laid out in terraces. You have a great view over the lake from many of the pitches. The access road to the site is relatively narrow and confusing. ATTENTION: The site is located on the side of the lakeside road facing away from... the lake. We first drove our caravan onto the gravel parking lot by the lake and were then very happy about the four-wheel drive. Some of the pitches are relatively small, which is due to the terraced shape of the campsite. Further up (where we weren't) there should be more spacious pitches. As there are relatively few electricity connections, you should bring enough extension. We were already undersupplied with just under 50m and had to play around. There is a small store in front of the entrance that sells the most important things. There is a somewhat larger store in the neighboring village (Moustier). The nearest supermarket is 20km away. There is access to the lake at the level of the campsite with nice bathing facilities. Very good value overall. We paid barely more than EUR 20 per night for 3 people with caravan and electricity.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Thomas K.May 2016PozitívumokBeautiful lake view, great nature! Must see: Route des Cretes,Sentier Martel hike, take a boat into the gorge,Moustiers San MarieNegatívumokDuring the day the road is very busy with cars and motorcycles, so it is noisy.Terrace with a view of the reservoirThe campsite is located at the entrance to the Verdon Gorge.it is arranged in terraces and you have a beautiful view of the reservoir.who wants to take a boat into the gorge has the best location here.staff only speaks French and English.from the entrance camp to the water it is about 250m.partly long... power cables >35m are needed.a limited shopping opportunity is available outside the square at the entrance.sanitary block too small and outdated, for low season still sufficient.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Maria O.August 2015PozitívumokLocation.NegatívumokLandformsOn the slopeIt is a great place to explore the Verdon River Gorge. Due to its location on a slope it is difficult to find a good place to pitch a tent with a car set up. For that the views of the lake are magnificent. For a tent , car and 2 people we paid 15,50 euros.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Dirk W.July 2015Large squareVery busy and noisy in the lower area, further up nice pitches with good views. Staff very friendly, German and English no problemAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Hannes W.June 2015PozitívumokThe location, friendly staffNegatívumokThe sanitary facilities could be a bit more modern and cleaner. However, the moderate cleanliness also seems to be due to the special clientele. ISimple camping in an ingenious locationCamping in a very good location on Lac St. Croix. Beach to the clean, warm lake and kayak/canoe rental in the immediate vicinity. Ideal starting point for kayak tours into the gorge and for fantastic motorcycle tours around the Gorges du Verdon. Very basic sanitary facilities, sufficiently cleanAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Florian S.August 2014PozitívumokThe good thing about the campsite is that it is ideal for spotane campers, as there are no pitch reservations.Camping with a tentLe Galetas campsite is located on a slope right next to the reservoir. We were there in the 2nd and 3rd week of August and loved it. In contrast to the Mediterranean coast, it is much quieter here. It was also rather quiet on the campsite. The campers and staff were very friendly. The sanitary facilities... are getting on in years. They are being renovated occasionally, but if you don't attach too much importance to it, you can definitely cope with it. At least it was clean. At the reservoir there are mainly gravel/stone and grass areas, but you can always find a spot where there are no stones.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Richard M.August 2013Situated on a steep slope with more or less views of the lake and mountains. Pitches arranged individually or in more or less large groups according to the terrain. Market Restaurant in front of the entrance. This means morning exercise for fresh baguette for breakfast (up to 700m distance and -70 meters in altitude). Sanitary facilities very sparse and cleaning inadequate, starting point for all activities around the Verdon Gorge.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Bernhard S.August 2012Very nice terraced urban square. Friendly and helpful staff. We were made aware of discounts. Ideal starting point for all activities in the Verdon Gorge: MTB, canoeing, mountain hiking, canyoning, climbing, surfing. The beach and lake are only suitable for swimmers, as the shore is steep. Bathing shoes are a must. In front of the campsite there is a small store and stands for sporting activities.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Piotr L.August 2012Great location of the campsite - on a hill , from which we have a breathtaking view - the Lake of the Holy Cross in all its glory. Very close - actually across the road to the water equipment rental, on which we sail to a magical place - the Verdon River Canyon. Camping, despite the good infrastructure,... i.e. water, electricity, toilets, free Wi-Fi, gives the impression of a wild place, far from civilization. Along with the views of the lake and high over 2000m mountains we have an unforgettable experience. Recommended.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Thorsten 1.October 2011Fantastically situated place! The view of the lake by moonlight is unforgettable! In mid-October you are almost alone on the pitch (out of 350 pitches, a maximum of 20 were occupied). Unfortunately, the stores in the immediate vicinity are already closed in October. So you need a car to go shopping.... The lake and the Gorge du Verdon offer plenty of leisure activities. Very friendly reception staff. All we can say about the sanitary facilities is that there are some. But their condition at the end of the season was indescribable! On the other hand, it was the cheapest pitch on our tour in October. Cost for 1 VW bus, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and electricity: EUR 24. Addition October 2013: The site is still beautiful, but the sanitary facilities are deteriorating more and more. Already borderline.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Eldezento M.August 2011Ideal starting point for the Verdon Gorge: the kayak rental is only a 5-minute walk from the campsite. The site is located on a slope above the reservoir, with a huge sunbathing lawn on the lake below. There are usually a few free pitches even in high seasonAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Max K.July 2011The site is beautifully laid out on a slope. View of the lake possible from all the higher pitches. The sanitary facilities are in need of renovation. The staff speak English and are friendly.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- miroslav j.June 2011campsite in beautiful surroundings at the end of the verdon canyon, by a lake with clear blue water for swimming and other sports. price very good ( 3 motorbikes, 3 people and 1 tent for 20 Eur per day)Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Eduard K.June 2011Favorite spot no.: 148: wonderful view of the lake and square, shady, quiet. Paradise for us. Sanitary facilities were ok, cleaned twice a day. For the price, a really beautifully situated pitch with limited options for grocery shopping (we went to Aiguines on pedelecs). Looking forward to our next vacation there.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Eric H.August 2010We had booked a pitch on this campsite through a travel agency. Our pitch was in the upper part of the campsite on a huge meadow. Space without end. The sanitary facilities were not really nice. The electricity was so weak that you couldn't cook your meat with an electric barbecue and the neighbors'... fuses were constantly blowing so that they were crawling around behind our caravan. The path down to the lake was quite steep, arduous and long. However, the evenings were sweetened by a phenomenal starry sky. Breathtaking for city dwellers like us with little stray light.Automatikusan lefordítva.
