The location and the landscape are the only positive things we can mention.
In the registration form of the place was the passage that in case of loss of the key for toilet or shower
and the dishwashing room an amount of 500€ has to be paid. Allegedly because of the locking system. ?? Why was there... also a deposit of 20€ for the key?
A rogue who suspects the worst.
I crossed out this line and returned the form. We were then asked to leave the site. For the sake of peace, my wife signed it. A passage like that is not acceptable.
There is one (1) sanitary-shower-rinse-reception building where everything is.
I'm speaking for male guests now. But it's the same for the ladies. There are 2 showers without doors or curtains, 2 toilets, 5 washbasins.
The dishwashing room is 1 basin in a small room of about 2 square meters. There is another basin outside the house, but it didn't supply us with water.
I note that this facility is for the entire CP.
If you have to go to the toilet at night, a flashlight is essential. There is no lighting.
W-Lan is only available at this house. But looooong.
Telephone calls also not possible, there is no network.
( we had 3 different providers, no connection )
In the morning a baker arrives and wakes up the rest of us who are still asleep.
The driveway to the pitches is quite steep and only gravel. Four-wheel drive is recommended.

Peace and relaxation in Bringhäuser Bay
Stayed here over Whitsun with a caravan and touring awning. The pitches are quite small with an awning. As the campsite is terraced, you have a beautiful view of the Edersee (if the hedges are not in front of it). The permanent campers we were in contact with were all very friendly. The baker's car comes... every day at different times (depending on the season), but he has everything you need for food. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, they save on electricity for the lights. It goes out after a short time and you are left in the dark. Boat rental, mini golf and cocktail bar with kiosk in the immediate vicinity. Hiking and cycling trails are within easy reach, and a trip on the passenger ferry to the Eder dam is also possible on site.

Pleasantly clean and quiet
Very friendly and clean
We were there in October for our camping trip. The campsite owner was very friendly. Gave us lots of information about the Edersee in words and text. Apart from a handful of permanent campers, we were the only transient campers. It was only by chance that we ended up on this site. The owner immediately... made everything open again, had to make electricity and water for the pitch accessible again (was already winterproof). The site is terraced, but you can get to the transit pitches with any car with a caravan without any problems. Through the terraces you have a beautiful view from every place. Highly recommended for a short trip!

Small squares, steep driveways
Terassencamping Bringhäuser Bucht
a stay over a long weekend (Ascension Day). The site - as already mentioned - is laid out in terraces, but the driveways to the terraces are so steep that you definitely need four-wheel drive with a 1350 kg camper van and your own vehicle. With a simple drive - no chance - especially since the driveways... are only paved dirt roads - unpaved. The terraces themselves are narrow - caravan and awning set up and there is little space left in front of the awning and it is a good 2 meters down to the next terrace - can be critical for small children. However, the pitches themselves have electricity, water and drainage - very good. The main sanitary building is as good as new, there are plenty of washbasins and it is clean. There could be one or two more toilets and showers - but so far ok. There is a beautiful stretch of beach on Lake Edersee right next to the site, a mini golf course, boat hire, canoe hire, surf school. Ideal. Despite the small pitches, we spent a few nice days there and would come again - but this year our caravan is a bit bigger and heavier and I honestly don't want to have to drive up the driveway with this big ship. What a shame.... Conclusion: really ok for shorter vacations, even if the pitches are a bit small. But unfortunately the driveway puts me off...

good view
A beautiful location on the Edersee. Because of the terraces, every pitch has a great view of the Edersee. Recommended for short overnight stays
