- Lysann E.May 2022PozitīviPeace and quiet, beautiful and clean swimming pool, close to the town of Grünberg and the Brunnental valleyNegatīvaisUnkempt permanent camper pitches, youth club at the playgroundGood campsite for those passing through!Despite its proximity to the main road, the site is surprisingly quiet, surrounded by meadows and forests. The attractive Brunnental valley with its historic mills and water playground is within walking distance, as is the pretty little town of Grünberg. The swimming pool, which is directly adjacent... to the campsite, is very well maintained and clean and offers something attractive for every age group. The campsite itself is characterized by many permanent camping pitches, some of which look rather unkempt. The pitch for mobile campers is at the bottom of the valley on a green strip - you are virtually surrounded by permanent campers. The sanitary building is located in the middle of the site and is a little dated, but was always clean. We had hot water at all times. We were disturbed by the young permanent campers who gathered in the playground every evening. You had the impression of camping in the middle of a social hotspot, also in view of the condition of many permanent camping pitches. The staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and courteous. However, there is neither a store nor a snack bar or restaurant on the site.
Due to the proximity to the highway, I would only recommend the site for transit.Automātiski tulkots. - Ralf K.August 2019PozitīviSwimming pool for those who like it, close to Grünberg, nice lady at the reception and very friendly permanent campersNegatīvaisSanitary not very clean and only hot water in the evening, place unkemptDirectly at the swimming poolVery friendly reception, directly at the swimming pool which you have to pay extra, through the bath and the adjacent main road it was much too loud for us there! The sanitary facilities are quite outdated and also not very clean, the floor is wiped but cobwebs were the same for 3 days :-( and on the... days we were there there was no hot water until the afternoon, the whole place makes an unkempt impression nowhere was lawn mowed or hedges cut. The village of Grünberg is very nice! The area is great for cycling. We didn't visit the swimming pool itself but got bread rolls there in the morning. They were really good :-)Automātiski tulkots.

- Bertram S.June 2017PozitīviFriendly campersNegatīvaisOutdated regulations (lunchtime quiet at 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. with an absolute ban on car access), outdated facilities, little shadeInflexible serviceWe arrived with two families for a long weekend. It was very hot on the day of arrival and we arrived at 1.03 pm. The registration desk was open and we were then greeted in official language with the information that the "iron law of the site" stated that no cars were allowed on the site between 1.00... and 3.00 pm, which is why we were not allowed to pass the barrier by car. I had three small children in the back of the car, all of whom were already getting very restless - none of this mattered here. In my opinion, this was a completely outdated regulation that drove my mood right down to the basement - especially because we had only missed the timely arrival due to a spontaneous road closure in Grünberg and had to take a large detour (even pointing this out did not make the receptionist change her mind). In my opinion, there is basically no reason for such a midday rest, as nobody is really racing around in their car or revving their engine loudly on the site. On the contrary, the campers are all VERY considerate. The campsite welcomes you with a garbage dump directly behind the barrier (including all kinds of electronic waste: televisions, fridges etc., certainly several cubic meters of electronic waste in total) - I have never seen anything like it (and I have seen MANY campsites). The wash houses and water points are all at least 30 years old - not really unkempt or dirty, but just old and not particularly attractive or well maintained. The stream that flows through the site is unfortunately overgrown in many places. You have to pay extra for the swimming pool right next door (adults 3 euros, children 2 euros). There is little shade on the site. There is also no shade at the children's playground, although all you would have to do is plant a tree... After the excitement of checking in, however, we had our peace and quiet on the pitch. Big plus point: the campers are very friendly and also love children! Conclusion: A site where time seems to have stood still a little. A more contemporary site management would be appropriate here and a little more courtesy towards customers would certainly not be amiss. The car-free time between 13.00 and 15.00 should be abolished. We will not be back.Automātiski tulkots.

- Jochen K.July 2014PozitīviGood location to the cityNegatīvaisAccess too narrow with the caravan trailerNot bad as a three-day stopoverThe access road is not particularly advantageous as it is very narrow. Problems with oncoming traffic! Reception was friendly and nice, compared to some of the permanent campers there. When I asked one of them where to put the gray water, he replied: "There in the front of the sanitary building". He... said this and 10 minutes later he tipped his broth onto the tent pitch. The drinking water points are rather unclean, winter wheels from a car are stored behind the last point and a bicycle is already ONE with the high grass. The area at the back is certainly avoided by the groundsman, as nettles, weeds and the grass can grow freely here. However, the sanitary facilities were very clean. For us, that's half the vacation. The time-honored town of Grünberg makes a well-kept impression. But if you can't find anything to buy here, we recommend the commercial area of Grünberg. You don't have to go hungry there.Automātiski tulkots.Atbildēja no Camping Spitzer Stein June 15, 2016The access road to the transit campsite has been widened in the meantime.Automātiski tulkots.
- Mike M.July 2014PozitīviProximity to the highwayNegatīvaisA little too boring for families with childrenO.K. as a transit site.Nicely located site with unfortunately relatively few leisure activities, unless you use the adjacent swimming pool. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but very clean. Grünberg itself is not uninteresting but all in all a bit sleepy.Automātiski tulkots.
