"We are very ambivalent about the stay - We stayed at the site from the end of May to the beginning of June. The check-in went well and easily and we were allowed to choose a free pitch with an ACSI card. There are 2 areas on the campsite, downstairs the older area with older wash houses and upstairs a newer part with a newer wash house. The disadvantage: It is very hilly - cycling for children is rather difficult - and if you are on the top of the new part, the walking distances to the pool, playground, restaurant etc. are already very long. The campsite is also completely in the middle of nowhere. You either have to have a scooter/car with you or you're trapped in nirvana. The pitches are super large and well maintained. Unfortunately, there is no toilet paper or soap in the wash houses. In times of Corona actually a no-go! The pool area is very nice, but unfortunately not heated. The pools were still so extremely cold in May that our children got sick straight away. At reception you can ask for a map with cycle paths and hiking trails. These paths are a disaster, some end in front of fences or the path simply ends and you have to turn around. Hiking and cycling are definitely not recommended here. The restaurant on site was really good and I would recommend everyone to go there for a meal. The children's playground is large, the play equipment is still intact but rusty and faded and very old. It really needs to be renovated. ---------------------- CONCLUSION:----------- We stayed here for the ACSI price, and the site is absolutely top! If we had come in the high season, the pool would probably have been warmer and there would also have been children's entertainment - at EUR 50 for 2 adults and a child, the prices are absolutely reasonable, even in the high season. The absolutely poor location unfortunately costs the place one star and I deduct another star for the unheated pools and the playground in need of renovation.

"Website promises more than it delivers - Basically a very nice campsite with demarcated pitches that are suitable in size. Car parking separate, but on the pitch. Hygiene okay. Excellent value for money with the ACSI Card. But: Bus trips to Tuscany, the islands and Rome are offered on the website. However, these have not been offered since the start of the coronavirus. This is understandable, but campers should not be lured by such statements on the Internet and on arrival you find out that the trips have been canceled. For us, this was the real reason for going there, as we wanted to enjoy these bus trips and avoid having to move the motorhome. You get a map with cycle paths and hiking trails at reception. This map is not up to date. Hiking trails lead nowhere. Suddenly you find yourself in front of a locked fence and have to turn back. Cycling on unusable "cycle paths" and on the main road is life-threatening. So mixed feelings on our part. We won't consider the site again, especially as there is no bus service there. You are trapped on the site with a motorhome. What a pity for what is actually a good site with a wide range of possibilities, but all of which take place on the campsite

"The spark has not been ignited - I went to Valle Gaia because of the good reviews. Having been to small, charming campsites before, I didn't really like Valle Gaia. I would say it was a standard family campsite for Dutch and Germans. The swimming pool is also great and was well received by my children. However, I would have expected a 4-star campsite to have toilet paper ;-) I didn't like the location. Neither close to the sea, nor to a village you can walk through in the evening, nor a view - the campsite is practically in a hollow. A pointless location for me. But tastes differ, for me the campsite was nothing - the spark didn't jump over!

"Highly recommended campsite - Uncomplicated arrival, very friendly welcome. The comfort pitches are recommended. The site is very well maintained. The swimming pool is great. Convenient location for exploring the surrounding area of Volterra etc. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly and thoroughly. In the interests of the other users, urinals would be desirable for the unfortunately still occurring standing pee. The playground for the dogs is nice, but does not replace the lack of exercise opportunities.

"Beautiful place, in the middle of Tuscany - Beautiful, well-kept site. Very friendly operators. The swimming pool is great. The pitch size is very good by Italian standards. Supermarket with plenty of choice. We were able to visit Tuscany from here without any problems.

"Great camping site in Tuscany - We stayed here for 10 days in summer 2019 and can absolutely recommend the place. From here you can go on beautiful excursions, enjoy one of the pools or drive to the sea. The pitches are spacious and separated by hedges. There is no toilet paper and rarely hot water for showering or washing up. The gastronomy on the site, both the pizzeria and the restaurant are great! LIDL and other shopping facilities are available in Cecina. We also got fresh bread rolls there in the morning.

Camping Valle Gaia & Residence La Casetta is located beside the Etruskan Riviera, in front of the most beautiful parts of Tuscan Islands: Elba, Capraia and Gorgona, only 9 Km from the sea. The camp, with its 43000 sqm area, …offers 230 well-bounded spaces at least 90 sqm/each. they also offer the possibility of excursions to cities of artistic interest such Florence, Pisa, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano. A little corner of paradise, where nature reigns supreme. A natural oasis set amid the olive trees and maritime pines, and bound by luxuriant woods. There are 2 tennis courts, volleyball-, football- and basketball court and an Italian bowling alley to entertain all sportsmen. Playgrounds are provided for younger children, table tennis and gaming hall for the elder. Bicycles can be rent for the whole family what is ideal for discovering the area.We are very proud of the size and quality of our pool-park and facilities. One swimming pool is kept open for lovers of swimming during the whole season, even out of peak season. Sunshades and deck-chairs can be used for free at all pools of the Holiday Center.
