- Matti P.September 2024Positive tingThe campsite itself is great for tents and hammocks. Plenty of shade as there are lots of trees, a reasonably flat area and, for an extra charge, right by the water. But the advantages are immediately clouded as soon as night falls...Negative tingAs I have now read, unfortunately too late, there has been a problem for several years now with extremely loud and rather bad music coming from Medulin opposite. And this goes on EVERY NIGHT until about 4am. At this moment, around 2 a.m., I'm sitting wide awake on the shore and can only shake my head in extreme disappointment at how you can even call something like this a vacation. The operators of Campsite Runke don't seem to give a damn whether their guests can sleep or not - otherwise something would have changed here since the last 10 years. Now I'm thinking of abandoning the campsite and looking for an apartment in Pula for the last 2 nights (for me and my 13-year-old son) so that I can at least relax a little. Too bad, the place is really beautiful. However, it is extremely overshadowed by the fact that here (not only at the campsite) it is obviously only a matter of freeing tourists from money as much as possible without paying particular attention to quality. This was the first and last time we were here.We won't be back!Coniferous forest ground, where it is sometimes impossible to hammer in pegs for the tent. The sanitary facilities are kept clean, but the site is also "adorned" by old buildings which are no longer accessible. The bistro is ok, the staff here are as friendly as possible. When checking in, you could... really feel that the good woman was hardly in the mood for her work - even if she tried not to show it. There is always a pile of garbage in front of the mini-supermarket, including employees with cigarettes and smartphones in their hands DIRECTLY next to it.Automatisk oversatt.
- Angelika L.April 2023Positive tingThe only thing we can praise are the sanitary facilities, super clean and cleaned throughout the dayNegative tingNot a nice place, the pitches for motorhomes terribly laid out, simply dirty and not well maintained, the restaurant leaves much to be desired (a ham and cheese platter for two people about 5 slices of ham, 6 slices of cheese, 4 gherkins halved and a few olives without bread 17.-€) we find habig, we can not recommend the restaurant, even if the staff were friendly.Never againI can not recommend the campsite, was very disappointed. At the reception no one speaks German we are the older generation and know very little English thank god we used the cell phone to translate so we had no problems.Automatisk oversatt.
- Kerstin R.July 2022Positive tingNice cleaning ladiesNegative tingSuper mega loud, sea the worst in Croatia, pitches hardly passableWorst arena pitchMini, mini pitches in a location that requires a lot of maneuvering, only for people who need a thrill, gusts of wind and storms are to be expected daily. well suited for all those who like to set up and take down daily. The sea is more like an algae-covered, murky lake due to its separation from the... open sea. The party in Medulin starts at 10 p.m. and ends at any time, but there's continuous sound at least until 4 a.m. with hard bass and 90s music, oh well, usually every day. Singing along instead of sleeping. By far the worst place we've ever been to, never again!!!!Automatisk oversatt.
- Michaela w.September 2018Positive tingQuiet and close to the cityIdyll without luxuryWe are here in September, a wonderful peace even at night. The place is clean, the showers a bit older but clean. Restaurants on site are dead :-) with Womo 7.35 great parking space and straight, yes you have to drive around a bit to get here. Who likes it simple is right here. Town 10min walk away. GREATAutomatisk oversatt.
- Julia S.August 2018Positive tingDirect location by the sea, close to the town, great pitchesNegative tingNot suitable for crawling children due to the floorGreat location and fantastic pitchesWe've already been there twice and really enjoyed both stays. What's particularly great, apart from the campsite itself, is that the town is within walking distance. We now have a baby, but unfortunately the site is not so suitable for this.Automatisk oversatt.
- Diana S.August 2018Positive tingLocationNegative tingNoise at nightFantastic during the day.... but at night- catastropheFantastic location, right by the sea, pure peace and relaxation during the day - rarely able to sleep at night, as the disco/techno bass from the opposite shore in Medulin is just annoying despite Oropax.... Too bad. Hardly any straight pitches, had to walk off on arrival despite reservation and deposit... with pitch card in hand to look for a pitch, which proved to be quite difficult due to the hillside location and the many permanent campers. Sanitary facilities in the rear area were getting on in years and very unkempt. Washing dishes and brushing teeth only possible with cold water - showers warm👍🏼. Price/performance not given. This place is no longer an option for us ....Automatisk oversatt.
- Kathi T.August 2017Positive tingNot overcrowded, few children!Negative tingSloping pitchesGreat vacation at the quiet Runke campsiteWe stayed at the Runke campsite from the end of August to the beginning of September and were really very satisfied. When we arrived, the campsite was almost empty and it was easy to find a great, straight pitch for our caravan. Admittedly, there are also many sloping pitches - when the campsite is full,... this is certainly annoying... We can't report on the disco noise. You could always hear music/noise from Medulin, but it was really quiet. Oropax in and that's it. The sanitary facilities are older, but in good condition and quite clean all day. Unfortunately, you can only wash up with cold water, which is a shame. Premantura is a five-minute walk away. The water around the camp is clean, but unfortunately very murky - so no snorkeling. But it's a completely different story on the other side of the peninsula! We had a great vacation and can recommend the camp to all couples looking for relaxation!Automatisk oversatt.
- Ulrich S.August 2017Positive tingWould actually be a nice place ...Negative tingNo possibility to sleep through the night due to disco noiseTotal madness - this noise at night..... Really unbelievable - we would have been willing to put up with the somewhat rudimentary equipment and the crooked pitch (the behavior of the employee at the check-in also left a lot to be desired ....) BUT THE DISCO noise THAT HITS THE WATER EVERY NIGHT UNTIL 3 AM WAS REALLY UNBEARABLE - actually... you could close the place, this is just a trap for vacationers who have not read the reviews.... Too bad about the location on this beautiful peninsula!Automatisk oversatt.
- Silke M.June 2017Positive tingGreat location, predominantly natural beachNegative tingUnhygienic dishwashing areas, mosquitoesQuite nice overall in JuneThe location of the campsite is great, but the old sanitary blocks, which are no longer in use and serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, are a bit annoying. Two showers in one house are a bit few, in the evening the water in the small house is cold. We didn't notice much noise in June, the loudest... thing were the cicadas 😀 The garbage cans could be better marked and also put away a bit nicer. Electricity boxes are getting on in years but work. The dishwashing areas unfortunately only have cold water and moss-covered grates. We did the washing up on site. Addendum from July 1: The music in Medulin at night is incredible! Now I know what the others meant. Not recommended for party poopers and light sleepers. The garbage cans are now labeled.Automatisk oversatt.
- Kirk L.August 2014Positive tingBeautiful, quiet camp during the dayNegative tingVery loud music until 4am. Unacceptable.Nice but noisy at nightA wonderful camp in itself, if it weren't for the noise from the neighboring Medulin, which reliably wakes up or keeps the campers awake EVERY NIGHT until 4 AM with 90s techno, which for some unknown reason seems to be very popular here. Although the problem has apparently been known for years (see other... reviews), they are not able to stop this madness. Not being able to sleep through a single night does somewhat spoil the primal sleep experience, and earplugs are of little use. Fortunately, the sanitary facilities have been renovated and are well maintained. The staff are reasonably friendly and helpful, and the bistro is OK by Croatian standards. It's a shame that there's never any peace and quiet at night, otherwise it's a lovely camp that offers plenty of shade, virtually no leisure facilities and only a small mini sandy beach, where all the parents with babies and toddlers consequently stay. Even in the high season there is pleasantly little going on here, who needs sleep on vacation ;).Automatisk oversatt.
- Christine H.June 2013We were there in June and managed to get a reasonably straight pitch (WOMO) with the Acsi-card. We liked the place, only two things were not ok. I have never eaten so badly in Croatia as in this "wannabe restaurant". The cevapcici from Aldi tasted better! But even that would have been fine if you could... swim in peace, that's why you go to the sea. The bay is full of boats of all sizes, and even the small children are constantly driving their smelly things back and forth at full throttle! It stinks, it's loud and you're afraid of being overlooked. 2 days later we were gone again! Too bad, but Runke won't see us again!Automatisk oversatt.
- Hermann D.September 2012This year was our first time in Istria ! We are very disappointed with CP Runke !!! I don't know how some people give their ratings !!! So the CP has almost only sloping pitches, which is absolutely not possible with larger caravans (<5m) !!! In the 2nd week the sanitary house was only cleaned once a day! The best is the diving school at the CP! The restaurant was a pleasure !!! NEVER AGAIN RUNKE !!!Automatisk oversatt.
- Gerhard K.September 2012During our stay in Istria this year, we again looked at various campsites with a view to changing location next year, so this time our route took us to Runke campsite on September 15, by which time the site had already been cleared and we were able to take our time looking at the conditions (see photos).... The entire site is in such a desolate state that it is reminiscent of the socialist era of the former Yugoslavia. When the operator (Arena Turist) speaks of comfortable accommodation, he surely only means the sloping character of the site on all sides, because the "comfortable accommodation" is brought by the camper in the form of his tent or caravan.comfort is a foreign word on this site! electricity and water connections must be sought.we found only two taps on the entire site, except those in the sanitary block.the so-called "restaurant" is structurally in its final stages. The sanitary facilities may have been adequate in the 1960s, but today I would give them a rating of 5, especially as the price of €25 per night for this area is completely exorbitant.the outdoor washing channels are so broken that the flaking, sharp-edged tiles pose a risk of injury. As the entire site is situated on a hill, there are virtually no level parking spaces for caravans. The many dug holes in the stony forest floor are evidence of this, and it is of no use to anyone if the site is talked up despite all the conceivable shortcomings! In all the reviews, guests talk about the nightly noise coming from Medulin and its neighboring campsite with a fairground in front of it. How can you then claim that it was a "dream vacation" if you exclude the noise, little sleep, unhygienic toilets, etc.? Or that it is even a place for people looking for peace and quiet? Hellooo! Something is not quite right in the rating here, is it? We would never set foot in this "field", let alone recommend it to anyone, unless Arena Turist finally starts to completely renovate the entire site. Conclusion: Arena Turist has better places to offer in Istria than CP Runke!!!Automatisk oversatt.
- Bohumil D.August 2012Very pleasant service, advise will help. Quiet during the day (at night noise from the disco in Medulin - the only negative). Overall satisfaction.Automatisk oversatt.
- Jessica R.August 2012Overall, we are very satisfied with our trip to the camp. Runke . The short distance to the nature reserve cape kamenjak gives extra plus points! there it is simply marvelous !!! In addition, almost all the locals in Premantura / Pula also speak German :) so we were able to get good information in restaurants... and information stands. For those who like the sun, the vacation is just right. Already in the morning at 10 o'clock the thermometer showed 30 degrees ! The disadvantage was the noise level. Open air discotheques in Medulin every day until 2 a.m., techno parties in Premantura and entertainment programs until midnight make for little sleep, as it is usually over with sleep at eight in the morning ... the toilets are best used directly after cleaning as they get very dirty during the day. I had to force myself to use them later in the day. But if you leave out the loudness, little sleep and unhygienic toilets, it was a dream vacation :)) gladly againAutomatisk oversatt.

- Andrea S.July 2011Wonderful location, we were right by the sea, but unfortunately, especially at the weekend, it felt like we were at the disco in Medulin and at the camp. Medulin, animation plus sales event in Medulin, all the noises came together in our awning, but during the week it was relatively quiet. The campsite... is simple but in a great location, you can walk into the town, go shopping, delicious food. We were able to walk our dogs very well in the no-man's land next to the camp and the dogs could also run freely around the site. Not overcrowded despite the high season. The sanitary facilities were old but clean. It's the ideal place for people looking for peace and quiet, but deadly boring for children and teenagersAutomatisk oversatt.
- Manuela S.August 2010The location is very nice, no road nearby. Pitches right on the beach, you can get almost everything in the store. The toilets are mostly standing toilets, the building is also quite old, but always clean. We also liked it very much because the campsite was not so crowded, you could choose your pitch... wherever you wanted, I don't see the noise so closely, although you can hear the music from Medulin and the campsite next door, but it is usually quiet at midnight. After all, you are camping and not in a hotel room. The reception staff are very friendly and courteous. The only thing you can criticize is the price.Automatisk oversatt.
- Morgane P.August 2010
- Doreen S.August 2010There are 2 sanitary buildings, both of which are very old. Almost only French toilets. Toilets available except for 1-2 normal sitting toilets in each building. Location of the CP ok and not so far to the town center. There are also buses to Pula. The campsite is actually quiet at night. However, we... had a pitch right on the water (no. 133) and there was loud music every evening from the opposite Medulin and its campsite as well as from party boats on the water until late at night. There is a small store on the campsite where you can buy the essentials, there are also bread rolls in the morning, but they are almost like rubber. No problem, just put them in the toaster again.Automatisk oversatt.
