A beautiful little bay is just a few meters away. It was actually relatively quiet, of course it always depends on the neighbors. We weren't particularly lucky there for a few days. The owner can be very nice when it comes to making money or selling something.... We had a small campsite on a small terrace. After two days we wanted to move to a pitch that had become available. But the owner said that we were not allowed to move. So we were a bit gobsmacked. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to park the car next to our tent, so we had to park it outside the campsite for space reasons (the whole campsite is relatively small). On the last day, when we paid, the lady said that we had to pay the fees for our car per day (approx. 5 euros per day). I then said that we didn't even get the chance to park the car near the tent (like other campers). She didn't care and said that the parking lot outside the camp also belonged to her and that this parking lot would also be charged at the same price. Pretty cheeky! We saw many campers during our stay who asked for a free space and were often treated quite unfriendly. But this is now the IN trend in Croatia.Dovča 2016We've been coming here for 25 years. The owner of the camp, Esad, drinks a lot, but he's nice, friendly. He's out of the game now, his wife Milena took over the camp. She's got her son-in-law, a busted ex-bouncer and a great waiter. Arrogance and money. You can only get to the tables on the beach if... you order food. Beer only in the shelter. Milena took 50 euros from us when we paid, she refunded the amount after conversion when we made a claim. She refunded us when we left, we were due to leave camp at 12 noon, we were delayed packing by half an hour and she wanted to call the police on us. Otherwise, the campsite was not very busy in the low season. You can't expect the standards of large campsites (shopping, food, entertainment etc.) but you do get a fantastic... sea and a great vacation. The campsite "Bunica V" described here is located on the northern side of the bay, i.e. coming from Senj at the end of the village. Very important: Do not drive down the access road... to the campsite with caravans or motorhomes, there is no easy turning area at the bottom! As the campsite does not accept reservations and is regularly full during the season, the only thing you can do is drive there, leave your car in the parking lot at the top of the road, walk down and ask. The site itself consists of around 15 parceled-out pitches for motorhomes and caravans, as well as space for a further 20-30 tents. Most of the pitches are shaded by taller trees. The small private pebble beach (shared with Camping Bunica I) is right next to the campsite, with a slightly larger public pebble beach right next to it. The water is sensational, crystal clear, lots of fish, unfortunately it was quite cold. Opposite is the uninhabited side of the island of Krk, fantastic! The sanitary facilities look new, but are too small for the number of people. The operator told me that he would like to extend them soon. The dishwashers are located in the ladies' and men's wash/shower/toilet room, there is no space for washing clothes or a washing machine. The nearest shopping facilities are in Senj (approx. 6km), there is a bus service, but using it seems to be more of a game of chance, at least as far as the timetable is concerned. The bus stop is above the square by the bridge, the bus only stops when you give a hand signal. After registering, you can buy bread and rolls in the morning and possibly have a snack in the evening. The beach is nice for small children (but no sand to dig in!). It's not too steep. For older children, diving goggles with a snorkel are a must, it feels like being in an aquarium. Quiet is one of those things. As there is a lot of transit traffic, there is a lot of coming and going, but there are no noisy restaurants, so you can sleep well.
