"Gut gelegener Campingplatz in Lynton - Als Ausgangspunkt für das schöne EXMOOR liegt dieser CP ideal bis perfekt. 1 Meile bis zum Städtchen Lynton auf gut beschildertem Wanderweg. Ausgangspunkt für tolle Wanderungen und Biketouren. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Aussicht auf den Atlantik atemlos. Wir sind drei Nächte geblieben und haben von diesem CP tolle Touren mit unserer Vespa ins Exmoor unternommen. Nächster Lebensmittelladen in Lynton. Die Sanitäranlagen sind in die Jahre gekommen aber blitzsauber.

" - Ruhiger, naturnaher Camping mit einfachen Sanitären direkt am Exmoor National Park. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Betreiber, einige Hard-Standings m. Wasser/Abwasser/Strom, Wiesenstandplätze und große Wiesen für Zelte ohne Strom. Herrliche Ausblicke auf den Bristol-Channel. Ein kleiner Kiosk hat alles Mögliche: C.-Zubehör,Wander- und Postkarten , Briefmarken, ein kleines Café (in diesem kann man auch ein Breakfast bekommen). W-Lan mit schlechtem Empfang im hinteren Teil des Geländes, dafür ist es aber auch kostenlos. Direkt nebenan ist ein uriges Hotel/ Pub mit einfachem Essen,in der Saison gibts Samstags draußen auf einer kleinen Bühne LiveMusik - hier dürfen sich Nachwuchsmusiker ausprobieren(alle Sparten). Sehr gute Wandermöglichkeiten mit wunderschönen Aussichten auch direkt vom Platz. Anfahrt (mit großem WW) am Einfachsten von Barnstable A39 kommend - aus Richtg. Minehead/ Porlock gibts ein paar heftige 25% ! Gefälle/Steigungen mit Serpentinen in Lynmouth und einigen Single Tracks Abschnitten (siehe auch GoogleStreetView).
