"Nice quiet campsite - It was our first time at this campsite, which is beautifully situated between several lakes. Our pitch was near the registration desk with a view of the lake. The reception was friendly. The restaurant on site is highly recommended when it is open (Monday-Wednesday is closed). The free W LAN is sometimes available and sometimes not. We were disappointed that we were not told on arrival that only one wash house was heated. We only found this out from other campers. It is extremely unpleasant to shower in a cold wash house. There is no bread service on the site, the nearest bakery is approx. 1.5 km away. Otherwise you can explore the area on foot or by bike. The cycle paths are well signposted.

"8 wonderful days, lovely welcome, great pitch at the north gate - We received a very warm welcome, so the first day of our vacation got off to a great start. We had already booked our pitch at the north gate (no. 44). The restaurant on the campsite is highly recommended, everyone here is friendly and nice. You can start great bike tours from here, wonderful. The operators are great and all the staff were always friendly. We had a great evening yesterday because we were invited by permanent campers for a freshly tapped beer. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Steffi "I love it", her husband and all the other lovely permanent campers we also met last night. It was soooo nice with you. Best regards from Elke and Werner from Oberhausen (the permanent campers from Hofgeismar).

"Great location, great for a long weekend - We spent a long weekend here. The site is in a great location and easily accessible, even with larger caravans. It covers a relatively large area with several small lakes. The site is dominated by permanent campers, but some of them have very well-kept, idyllic pitches on the shore with access to the lake. Really very pretty to look at. There is a restaurant next to the reception area. There is also a sanitary area, which can only be entered with the appropriate key. Deposit for a key: 20 euros (!) This is to protect against uninvited users, as this area is open to everyone. However, this can quickly lead to problems if several family members are traveling separately and need to do business or shower at the same time. So it's better to plan enough cash for the deposit for 2-3 keys... One of the tourist camping areas is located right next to the reception and is beautifully situated right by the lake. Electricity and fresh water can be found within a few meters. Chemical disposal is also available. However, the parking lot for visitors, which is located directly next to the pitches and can be accessed at any time, is annoying. It can also be busy at night, with slamming doors and engine noise. At the end of this area is where the permanent camper area begins. This is closed off with a barrier. The next sanitary facility is also located here in a round building, which also serves as a lounge and morning bread station with a large selection. We used both sanitary facilities. They look quite dated, but were clean and well-maintained at all times. The grounds are ideal for walks around the lakes. The site certainly has a lot more to offer. There was nothing more to explore this weekend. We will be back.
