Many of the pitches had tires from the 80s. We were afraid that the tires would be destroyed.

We returned a few years later and were disappointed to find that the campsite had gone backwards rather than forwards. The friendliness of the staff and the hygiene... concept should be emphasized. Everything else, however, is in a morbid state. I have attached some pictures to show you what I mean.
Obviously, permanent campers in particular have simply left their waste behind. Overall, the site looks unkempt and does not invite you to come back. What's more, the entire ground needs to be leveled and integrated into an attractive overall picture. The surrounding parts, such as the mini golf shack, also look as if the whole thing will soon disintegrate. In any case, hardly anyone will be visiting this square any time soon; we are one of them.

At the reception we were greeted in a proper command tone. They didn't know which pitch was free. It's all done by the groundsman. So we went to the said position and at some point the groundsman arrived on a lawnmower tractor. The pitch itself was a great... size, but not mowed. About 10-15 cm high. Well placed caravan on it. The 25 meter power cable was not enough, because the power distribution is only every 5 plots approx. neighbor lent us a cable otherwise we would have had no electricity. The yellow sanitary building that the groundsman told us was blue. Luckily it wasn't that far from us. All the buildings are very dated but clean. Unfortunately it smells strongly of urine. (You could also contain the whole thing with fragrances). The walk to the showers is very long if you have your place quite far back. There is only one building with about 10 showers per gender. Without a bike you're really lost here. There is no bread service but the town is not too far away, about 15 minutes' walk. We wanted to hire a bike but the 4 bikes available were already fully booked for the next few days. (Strange, 4 bikes for a campsite with about 300 pitches). WLAN is displayed but from the "command center" you only get the information that there is a malfunction and no key. Due to the bridge construction work in Gemünden, you can hear the jackhammer from the excavator banging all day long. You can also hear noises from the road and the train.
