- Martina M.June 2024PositivosThe location is very nice.NegativosReally only suitable for families. For couples only outside the vacations. Logically, 90% of the guests are Swiss.Very nice family campsiteAs already mentioned several times, the campsite is great for families. There is a lot on offer. It's a great place to keep children busy. Logically very restless for couples without children on vacation. There are quieter places in the area. But otherwise there is nothing to complain about.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campofelice Camping Village September 19, 2024Dear Martina,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us.
We understand that it gets busier during vacation periods, especially as we are a popular destination for families. Outside of these times we tend to be quieter and we welcome couples and any guests looking for a... relaxing break to visit us then.
It's great to hear that you were satisfied with our offer and our place despite the lively atmosphere. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to perhaps welcoming you again - whether for a family vacation or a quieter stay outside of vacation periods.
With kind regards from Tenero

Not everyone observes the quiet time at midday. Many people go to the campsite during the quiet time.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campofelice Camping Village September 19, 2024Hello P H,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
However, we regret to hear that not all guests respect the lunch break. We have taken note of your comments. Regarding the issue of pets, we strive to apply the rules clearly and fairly.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon and showing... you that we take your feedback seriously and work every day to improve our guests' stay.

Great sandy beach, first class sanitary building, great pool, entertainment for children etcNegativosNothing for us. Everything tip-topSuper campsite 5 starsIt was one of the best places for us. - Max P.July 2022Positivos100% negative experienceNegativosIndecent lady at receptionIncredibly bad experience. READ WITHOUT FAIL3 days before arrival, I phoned to enquire about the space available (in the last 3 years it was not possible to make a reservation). The lady on the phone said just arrive, there's plenty of space and you don't need to book.
When we arrived, everything was full and there wasn't a single space. The lady... at reception wasn't helpful at all and just said she had to go to another desk.
Fortunately, we found a great pitch next door at Camping Lago Maggiore.
In the afternoon I had a flat tire on my bike and wanted to pump the tire at the Campofelice bike station. I walked to the entrance and approached the lady again (blonde, about 50 years old). I asked her to let me pump the bike briefly. However, she refused and turned me away, as the entrance was only for customers. I pointed out my predicament to her, but she remained cold as ice and turned me away. After a brief discussion and the remark that I would theoretically be a guest if the lady on the phone hadn't misdirected me 3 days ago, I turned away and ran off in frustration. Now the kicker, as I was walking away the lady shouted "vaffanculo" after me, which I then ignored. This was on 09.07.22 at around 6.15 pm.
I will no longer recommend Campofelice to any camper I know and strongly advise against it.
Unbelievable experience.Traduzido automaticamente. - Beata A.March 2022PositivosVery nice facility with everything your heart desires. Great wellness area, beautifully run store, very clean and many sanitary facilities.NegativosAlthough the pitch was hardly occupied, we could not extend for 2 hours without having to book an extra day. W-Lan reception was so-so.Wonderful campsite in TeneroA beautifully laid out campsite directly on Lake Maggiore and the Verzasca. There are opportunities for young and old to enjoy themselves on land, in or on the water or to explore the beautiful region. Well worth a visit.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Fabrice K.July 2021Positivosspacious camping store Good infrastructure and clean Entertainment program for (small) children Prices of consumptions Plot sizeNegativosPseudo Siesta certain arrogance price-performanceDoesn't quite live up to the super reputation...Due to the coronavirus situation, I decided to spend my 2020-2022 vacations at home in Switzerland and spend my money at home. In 2020 I was at Lake Biel in Le Landeron and this year I wanted to get to know the south of our country. So I searched for one of the supposedly best campsites in Switzerland... and Ticino. We: 2 adults, 2 children (13+11).
About the campsite: top infrastructure, cleanliness too. Most of the staff are very friendly, but less so at certain key points. The longer I stayed there, the more I got the feeling that this campsite wanted to be a "wannabe big campsite" like in Jesolo or on the Mediterranean. Why?
-Playground closed from 1200-1500 (?!), children are turned away
-Animation program in the evening, but 2230 night rest (in the middle of the summer vacations)
Food at the bistro until 2000. After a take-away order (chicken nuggets and chips) at 1945 (after a 10-minute wait) we were turned away by the staff in chorus, saying they still had to clean the kitchen.
The very bad weather situation naturally also contributed to the corresponding mood. Such factors were even more annoying. Of course, everyone went to the lake for the few nice hours and the sunbathing lawn was accordingly overcrowded... Not very cozy...
The whole thing for just under Fr 1500 for 2 weeks...
There are better campsites for this price.Traduzido automaticamente. - jagri j.April 2021Positivosbeautiful location, lots of entertainment, great for bike tours, newer sanitary facilities, nice tennis courtsNegativosWaiting line sanitary, and reception, sloping pitch without mover not feasible, and no lovingly maintained pitches. ( brown match pitch)beautiful but with flawsThe campsite was very full during our stay, unusual for spring because of Corona.
No more wishes possible for the pitch whether near the lake/playground or sunny/shady etc.
Sanitary facilities modern but due to high utilization not quite clean and waiting time. very good, hot water for washing up!
...
Super tennis courts, only the reservation is tedious, too long queuing at the reception. no separate info desk. very good location for cycling
Large pitches, lots of beautiful trees, unkempt meadow, a lot of match when it rains. Sloping pitches make it impossible to sit outside the awning on standard pitches. Better with a higher pitch category.
There is a lot on offer for families with lots of children, but less for those seeking peace and quiet.Traduzido automaticamente. - Erika E.April 2021PositivosVery clean, lots of options for children, store with a wide range of products, beautiful beach, large pitchesNegativosLong waiting times at check-in and check-out, reservation tool confusing and unreliable, staff sometimes a bit overbearing/unfriendly/overworked (happened when the place was full)Somewhat disappointed with the developmentCampofelice has recently changed its booking system. Previously you couldn't book, but now we recommend booking. The system did not show any free pitches for our planned stay. There were some free pitches on the webcam. On site there were still places available, but they were very limited. While walking... through the campsite, we saw a lot of free pitches, which seemed a bit strange to us. I don't like the reservation system at Campofelice, it seems unreliable. What a shame! I was also annoyed that my calls to Campofelice were not answered. When I asked the lady at the counter about this, she replied: "You can see what's going on here - the whole of Switzerland is coming to Ticino". "Good for you" was the only answer I could give - otherwise I was speechless. To book a tennis court, you have to queue at check-in. You can then book the court for the following day, but you have to queue again the next day to pay. You can't book and pay straight away - totally inflexible. Incomprehensible to me. The development of the Campofelice is somewhat disappointing. They are becoming more and more modern and beautiful, but obviously they can't keep up in terms of organization...Traduzido automaticamente.

We were surprised that everything was so clean and tidy despite the size.
We are delighted and would love to come back.Traduzido automaticamente. - Rainer B.August 2020PositivosEverything Pico Bello Clean; well organized; if you don't want to entertain your children yourself, you are certainly in good hands hereNegativosFar too big, no privacy, totally overpriced, restlessThe horror for usWe prefer small, manageable and quiet campsites. We were totally wrong here. We got a pitch right next to the sanitary building. It was about 65 square meters and cost 72 euros (high season). Everything seemed totally hectic and it was very loud. Of course, with over 700 pitches. If they are occupied... by an average of 3 people, that's over 2100 people (including lots of children who naturally make a lot of noise), then it's simply a huge background noise. What's more, there is a constant coming and going due to the crowd. After one night we moved on to the south and are now staying on a very idyllic campsite. For 34 euros a night. Definitely the wrong campsite for people looking for peace and quiet on vacationTraduzido automaticamente.
- Alfred E.June 2020PositivosIf you're really looking for camping, you'll find it: Pure image and luxury.NegativosThe image and the luxury also has its price... Very expensive camping accommodation for 'normal' German wallets. Intense aircraft noise from sports planes during the day, you have to consciously 'filter' and listen away. Ok, that's not the campsite's fault - it's just the way it is.If you are really looking for peace and quiet, this campsite is not recommended. The campsite offers everything worthy of a 5-star rating - except for one flaw: vacationing by motorcycle. We rented a chalet in the middle of the residential area. As soon as we arrived, we were 'processed' in a rather rough manner - absolutely 'strictly according to rules and prohibitions'. When you... come to this place for the first time, it's not easy to get to grips with all the rules straight away. As we logically arrived in motorcycle clothing, the friendliness of the staff was very 'sparing'. Although a parking space is assigned to each charlet in the immediate vicinity of the campsite, you are only allowed to park in a car; motorcycles are generally prohibited from parking and must be parked in a central parking lot at the reception. We had a big bike with a lot of luggage. We weren't even allowed to drive near the hut to unload and load; in other words, we had to carry everything 'on foot' - no matter how far it was, nobody from the campsite staff was interested. It was a sweaty and ultimately very annoying affair in temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius. All supposedly because of the risk of accidents - you would drive very carefully at walking pace anyway - just like the cars. This rule is a real 'bad joke' and in no way corresponds to a 5-star level. - Oh yes, the aircraft noise in front of the sports airport - it's very annoying during the day if you're looking for peace and quiet. And another thing: genuine Swiss 5-star prices at a very high level. Accordingly, the clientele with specially 'educated' children, some of whom were screaming at the top of their voices not only around their 'own' chalet, but also around our chalet. It seems to be quite 'normal' these days, because the parents didn't react - of course, they wanted to be left alone and have a real 'vacation' too. Understandable, isn't it? - And last but not least: you can't reserve a (caravan) pitch; it's not worthy of a 5-star rating. Chalet reservation obligatoryTraduzido automaticamente.
- Peter S.August 2019PositivosClean toilets, large pitches in different categories. Good location.NegativosNoise pollution, especially at weekends due to nearby airfield.ReservationI have been going to the campsite every year for 21 years. An important feature for me was the good location to nearby Locarno, which is easily accessible by bike. The very clean sanitary facilities and the large pitches are also important points. Above all, I was delighted that it was not possible to... make reservations. This meant that it was always possible to get a pitch, sometimes directly on the water in the first row. The fact that this has now been changed from 2021 is very unfortunate and restricts a spontaneous vacation here quite a bit. This is probably also the decisive reason for me that I no longer vacation here.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Jens H.July 2019PositivosVery very clean sanitary area. Super nice and competent staffNegativosDue to the location in Switzerland, high-pricedVery large and well maintained campsiteVery nice CP. Despite its enormous size, this is not noticeable. The staff are very friendly and the service is correspondingly professional. The leisure facilities for the children are also huge. At first we thought the cleanliness would suffer because of the size. But that wasn't the case at all.Traduzido automaticamente.

We were not looking forEverything perfectWe visited Campofelice again after 10 years. The site, which was already very well equipped, has been further developed. A small pool area has now been added to the lakeside location. All in all, the site now offers almost every possible leisure activity. The "old" sanitary buildings, most of which have... been renovated, have been joined by a great new building. Great rain showers, spacious and, as usual, always very clean. The infrastructure on the site leaves nothing to be desired. Supermarket, restaurant, bars, camping store, ...... The pitches are spacious, the whole site is clean and nicely decorated with flowers. Dog-free WLAN is free of charge and was ok. I really like the fact that there are separate pitches for campers. Only the price is high. But you know that beforehand.Traduzido automaticamente.
