"Vacation on Rab - Beautiful campsite, In the immediate vicinity of the old town of Rab. The sea is shallow.

"All-round care - Booking worked out wonderfully - the campsites are mostly shady, spacious, flat and cleanly parceled out by the neighbors. The sanitary facilities are spotless and always clean. There is a central square with a good grocery store, fashion store, organic fruit and vegetable stall, bakery, café and ice cream parlor - there is hardly anything left to be desired. There is an aqua park on the narrow beach, the water is shallow and sandy. The pool area offers slides and play facilities for children, a deeper pool for swimming, free sun loungers and a bar. There are several good restaurants. The cab boat service (4€ p.p.) to Rab town directly from the campsite was particularly positive. There is also a sports field, beautifully situated mobile homes - nothing is missing! The staff are friendly and mostly speak German. The evening entertainment program (magic show, live music) naturally echoes throughout the campsite. If you hardly want to move from the campsite and are looking for all the infrastructure and entertainment on site, this is the perfect place for you. The square is probably too commercial for individualists. We found it good for a short stopover of three nights with children. I probably wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.

"Unfortunately the first and last time - First the positive: The washrooms and toilets are super clean. But: The place is far too full. Every last available space is taken. Small spaces. Only trickles of water come out of the shower. The most annoying thing. From 8:00 in the morning there is no more space on the beach. This is because this is not a private beach but a public beach. That's not really possible with the horrendous prices for the pitch. Far too expensive. Rab is already quite expensive overall. Sorry, but we won't be coming here again.

"Beautiful campsite near Rab - Great CP facility with everything your heart desires. Pitches freely selectable. We had a nice big shady pitch. The sandy beach is great for children, you can walk into the sea forever. If you don't like that, there are also stony bays. The dog beach is one of them. Good for small dogs to freshen up. Watch out for lots of sea urchins. The town of Rab can be reached by bike along the beach promenade in 10 minutes. Restaurants on site very good. Staff of the entire CP super friendly. "Our" wash house was closed but we were credited 20% 👍🏼

"Overbooked space - In general, the place is quite ok. As written in some other reviews, the beach and pool area is unfortunately very small, so it is difficult to get a suitable sunbathing spot in high season. As we knew this from the start, it wasn't a big problem. The thing that didn't work at all for us (and some other vacationers) was the booking. As you know, you can only book in certain zones at Valamar but not a specific place. So far ok. So we booked a place in the pool area back in spring 22. Even though I was aware that this would not be taken into account (as you know from Valamar), I indicated a pitch request, which was added to the booking. Two days before arrival, I had already completed the online check-in and entered my arrival time. I therefore assumed that a pitch would be available in the pool area when I arrived. Unfortunately, I was wrong. When I arrived, I was told that there was no space available in the zone I had booked! Allegedly not a mistake on the part of the campsite, but Valamar overbooks the zones so that the booked category may not be available. We also could not be told when a place in the booked zone would become available. So we had to switch to a pitch in another zone for one day. I realized that this was not an isolated case. It should be possible for a company like Valamar to set up a sensible booking system that allows you to book specific pitches for a specific time. As long as this is not possible and you now even have to assume that you won't even get into the booked zone, I will avoid Valamar campsites.

"Beautiful campsite with sandy beach - Good campsite on RAB with sandy beach. Sufficient sanitary blocks of varying quality. Pool more suitable for children. Shallow beach. Cab boat runs regularly directly from the campsite to RAB. There are plenty of moorings for boats. All in all a good place to relax. Pitches can be selected on arrival according to category, provided there are enough available. Poolside can also be used for larger boats and is partly shaded. Poolside directly at the entrance is small and in direct sunlight.

The island of Rab belongs to the northern group of Adriatic islands in the Kvarner Gulf and is located in the 44th parallel north. It lies at the foot of Velebit, the distance from the city of Rijeka is approx. …105 km. By car Via Salzburg and Karawanken Tunnel into Slovenia, onward via Ljubljana and Postojna in the direction of Croatia and the city of Rijeka, from the city of Rijeka on along the Adriatic coastline road 105 km to the ferry port Stinica or over the Krk bridge to the island of Krk and from Valbiska harbour by the ferry to Lopar harbour on the island of Rab Via Vienna and Graz into Slovenia, onward via Maribor to Zagreb, from the direction of Budapest and the city of Varaždin to Zagreb, from Zagreb along the highway to Žuta Lokva, then onward in the direction of the city of Senj, then 38 km along the Adriatic coastline road in the direction of Split to the ferry port Stinica. Across Switzerland into Italy and onward via Milan, Venice and Trieste in Slovenia, on in the direction of Croatia and the city of Rijeka, from the city of Rijeka along the Adriatic coastline road 105 km to the ferry port Stinica or over the Krk bridge to the island of Krk and from Valbiska harbour by the ferry to Lopar harbour on the island of Rab From the direction of Dalmatia via Split motorway towards Zadar over the Gospić, and further down the local mountain road the town of Karlobag and along the Adriatic coastline road from the town of Karlobag to the ferry port Stinica or via Split and Zadar motorway to the exit Starigrad- Paklenica and further along the Adriatic coastline road in the direction of Rijeka to the ferry port Stinica.
