A beautiful place, centrally located in Zeeland and therefore perfect for exploring by bike or car. We were given a detailed information folder on arrival. A paradise for children thanks to the play barn and high-quality mountain vehicles. Very nice contact with the owner family, who obviously also make... an effort with a varied program for the children and also help with manoeuvring with a small wheel loader, for example. The sanitary facilities are new and were cleaned regularly. When the site is full, we found the number of toilets to be too few at peak times. Unfortunately, dog owners only have the option of walking across the pitch (mainly gravel) or along the main road. Therefore one point deduction. Not used and therefore not rated is the existing bread and snack service. The app is also very positive. There you are regularly provided with news.

Very clean, friendly and helpfully run campsite (also German-speaking); somewhat simpler sanitary facilities, but well maintained and clean and with really hot water (not lukewarm as at many other campsites in Zeeland - you can set the temperature yourself); approx. 1 kilometer from the outskirts of... Middelburg, yet in a quiet location; no supermarket service or shopping facilities, but large supermarket about 3 km from the city center; covered seating; free WIFI; lounge with table football; storage facilities for bicycles and own power connections for e-bikes; the overnight price is for 2 pers./night incl. 21.70 euros in the low season for a city campsite and for what is on offer; the pitches are sometimes partially shaded by trees; the campsite is the perfect starting point for extensive cycle tours, even to the east or west coast of the island of Walcheren, each approx. 7 km; Middelburg is worth seeing and although it is the largest town on Zeeland, it is not at all hectic, everyone here is very relaxed; there is a farm near the campsite that produces excellent cheese (approx. 3 km from the campsite); you can try all the cheeses there beforehand; Kaasboederij Pitteperk, Breeweg 21, Koudekerke (but it is only approx. 1.5 km from the western outskirts of Middelburg).
