- Thomas M.June 2024PlusuriBeautifully large plots Quiet and yet close to the old townMinusuriQuite full even in low seasonReservation is an advantageSanitary facilities are good, the pitches are partly in the shade.
I didn't try the campsite's own restaurant, but you're so close to the city center, where there's something for everyone. With a guest card you can also use the bus without any problems.Tradus automat. - Peter J.May 2024PlusuriProximity to the city and cleanliness.MinusuriAt the registration on 15. 5.2024 at 1pm pretty arrogant lady at the counter. Think new employee who annoyed me with snippy remarks like "requesting a seat is not a concert of wishes" and "I'm not a private financial advisor".Ideal place for sightseeingPitches unfortunately with little grass. Friendly staff except at registration. Clean and quiet.Tradus automat.
- mathias t.October 2023Plusuriclose to Lucerne friendly staffMinusurinothingVacation October 2023I felt very comfortable and can recommend the place. From my point of view, there was nothing to complain about.Tradus automat.
- simon p.August 2023PlusuriNice shady site, with good sized pitches and decent bathroom facilities. Good also if you’re traveling with children. Close to the beach, lovely views, and only a 20 min walk into Lucern. Public transport is also available close by.MinusuriNothing note worthySuper location, lovely campsiteThings have gotten really busy since we were last here some 6 years ago. People lining up at 8 am in the morning to check-in. We arrived at 10am and it took over an hour waiting in line.
- Olaf S.June 2022PlusuriConveniently located, quietMinusuriThere are no disadvantagesPerfect city campingIdeal for spontaneous visits. It is important to arrive on time. Otherwise the place will be full.Tradus automat.
- Renate G.May 2022PlusuriConveniently located for visiting Lucerne Free public transportation Right next to the Transport MuseumMinusuriAdjacent tennis court - plop - plop - plop; expensive, small parking space Plots are used as storage space for junk No choice of pitch after prior viewing No view of the lake Wifi free of charge but very weakCity campingThe course is located directly on the lake, but unfortunately has no lake view. You have to choose a pitch via the pitch plan and it can happen that you end up right next to the adjacent tennis court.
Some pitches are apparently used as parking spaces, so that if you look out of the window you can see... traffic cones and junk. I imagine a pitch by the lake (pitch 20 CHF, per person 10 CHF + 4 CHF electricity + garbage + visitor's tax), especially at this price, to be something else.
Wifi is free, but very weak. It works better with your own smartphone hotspot.Tradus automat. - Marcel L.July 2021Plusuri- Friendly staff - speedy processing at check-in - Top sanitary building - good location, close to the lakeMinusuri- Partition walls between the urinals are useless as they are almost on the floor (the architect was a Lilliputian) - Lack of shelves for shampoo bottles in the shower cubiclesGreat city campingTypical city campsite and ideal starting point for visiting Lucerne and the surrounding sights. Free public transport on the entire city network, especially practical for camper vans.Tradus automat.
- Peter H.May 2021PlusuriAdvantage, the staff is friendly and helpful and you can park your motorhome on the Kiss pitch.MinusuriPrice-performance ratio is too expensive for what you get. Store too small too few products for camping guests. Sanitary facilities approx. 150 m from the reception are too old. If you are showering, the water gets on your feet in the other cabin. Sanitary facilities near the reception, doors to the showers, you can not see from the outside that it is closed. The food is not really warm I would have expected more. There are dog owners who don't really have their dogs under control, alcohol is more important to many than the peace and quiet on the pitch.Too many dogsThere is enough space for large motorhomes, even those 7, 25 and longer. The sewage system is good. It has been recognized that the Germans have more rights on the campsite, there are Germans who still drive out as visitors after 10 pm. You can also drive out if you drive towards the sewage system. They should install a gate so that nobody can drive out, the barrier is ridiculous. The best thing would be a gate so that you can drive in and out.Tradus automat.
- Gerrit W.March 2021PlusuriClean sanitary facilities, possibility to check the tire pressureMinusuriTeenagers drive their cars right next to the square... Store and restaurant closed (no indication on the homepage)Everything was great, we'll be backWe received a friendly welcome and found a clean and well-kept site. Sanitary older but clean, store and bistro unfortunately closed. Perfect location, you can walk to the city (along the lake) in 45 minutes or take the bus (free tickets). 5 minutes on foot to the Museum of Transport. Outdoor pool opposite. We would love to come back!Tradus automat.
- Herrmann W.April 2019PlusuriLocation (city AND nature AND peace and quiet!)MinusuriUnfriendly campsite managementUnfriendly campsite managementUnfortunately, dealing with guests is a foreign concept for the campsite management. We felt like supplicants. The drain in the showers was often blocked. However, the location is very nice and the facilities are good. The sanitary facilities are also cleaned daily.Tradus automat.
- Roman S.February 2019PlusuriLocation, plots, parking, shopping facilities nearby (500m).MinusurinoneGreat stayI was on the course for a week in February. Everything was tip top. The pitch is also suitable in winter. Toilets and showers were pleasantly warm. I'll be back next February.Tradus automat.
- Julia B.December 2018PlusuriEverything available in the surrounding area: Culture, shopping, sportMinusuriUncooperative campsite managementCould be perfectThe campsite management reacts very sensitively to tips; immediately feels personally attacked. Winter: Shower: 14-16°! No more heating: too expensive! Pitches are allocated in an authoritarian manner. Requests for another pitch are refused with flimsy excuses.Tradus automat.
- Peter K.November 2018PlusuriOpen all year round close to the city center Public transportation included in the price Sanitary area for men well heatedMinusuriPoorly heated ladies' sanitary facilities No shopping facilities on the pitch in winterTypical city campsiteThe facilities are modest, especially in the winter months. There is only one sanitary building open - it has 4 toilets for the ladies - 2 toilets for the men + and two showers in both areas. Unfortunately, the women's showers are only just heated to around 16 degrees, which meant that only the men's showers were available. The showers there were heated to a much higher temperature.Tradus automat.
- Roman S.July 2018PlusuriClose to the city, Lido, PitchesMinusuriNoneGreat place close to the cityWe thought the place was great. Great leisure facilities, swimming in the Lido, museums etc. The campsite itself was nice and quiet.Tradus automat.
- Daniel W.July 2018MinusuriUnfriendly and arrogant people. Too expensive.Unfriendly & arrogant people. Poor accomodation and facilities. TOO EXPENSIVE!Unfortunately we had a very poor experience. Wrong information have been given prior to our stay. The responsible people were very unfriendly and arrogant. The accommodation is set up cheap and minimalistic. Far too expensive. I would avoid this place until these people make an effort to make the guests feel comfortable.
- Markus M.June 2018PlusuriLocation close to the cityMinusuriToo expensiveNothing specialNormal place in the city. Nothing special. Functional sanitary facilities that remind me more of a prison. 2 fluorescent tubes must be enough for the entire shower in the evening... Wifi costs 5 francs extra. With a price of 45 francs, this should actually be included. Perfectly adequate for one night. But then quickly onwards.Tradus automat.
- Barbara & Rudi O.May 2018PlusuriCentral location, bus ticket included.MinusuriWLAN with costsGood location for sightseeingSo far everything in order, prices typical Swiss standards, WLAN for a fee is no longer up to date, very central to the city and lake.Tradus automat.
- Sepp H.April 2018Directly on the lake and the Museum of TransportBeautiful square in the middle of Lucerne. Museum of Transport and lido right next door. Free use of public transport as a camping guest.Tradus automat.
- Paescu H.December 2017PlusuriFree public transportMinusuriToo few toilets in winter!Beautiful place near LucerneIt wasn't the first time we've stayed at the Lido over Christmas/New Year and we think the place is great. Good location, very friendly staff, use of the public buses included. Unfortunately, there were far too few toilets/showers during this time. There were 2 toilets and 2 urinals for the men. At times... you had to queue to use the toilets. Once, the toilet paper was even empty in one of the two toilets! These are untenable conditions. Otherwise everything was perfect.Tradus automat.
- Annette F.August 2017PlusuriGreat locationMinusuriThink carefully about the period when checking in. If you want to leave earlier, you still pay for the booked period. No daily newspaper at the kioskSuper city square in a central location near the Museum of TransportA flawless site, with tip-top clean sanitary facilities, bus stop next door, as well as the Lido and the Museum of Transport - a must for every visitor. Don't forget the Glacier Garden.Tradus automat.
