Winter yes, summer no thanks!The first and probably the last time we were there in summer.
In winter it's beautiful there, quiet and easy to relax, in summer it's the opposite. Loud, hectic and not of the same quality as in winter.
In the restaurant you are "dispatched", we got the main course DIRECTLY after the starter, and were... finished with EVERYTHING in 40 minutes.
The outdoor pool was used by families and was so full that nobody could swim there, it was incredibly loud, you couldn't hear your own words. Unfortunately you can also hear everything at the natural pool, which is right next to it.
Actually a great pool landscape, but for the masses of campers PLUS day guests, simply far too small, it is not possible to get loungers during the day. The small lawn in front of the pool is only used by families.
Anyone longing for relaxation will be very unhappy here in summer.
In addition, many things cost extra, although the place already belongs to the luxury category and is therefore already very expensive.
The reception is very unfriendly and reacts snappishly to questions.
We did NOT have any of these experiences in winter. Unfortunately, we did not receive a booking confirmation.
When we asked, we were told in an unfriendly manner that they had not received any payment from us.
Mistakes can happen. But our bank, as well as VISA itself, confirmed that the amount... had been transferred from our account to Alpencamping Nenzing Austria.
We confronted the staff with this statement, but they only said that they had a lot of bookings and had to check this in the accounting department.

Pool area: very nice. Service in the restaurant: very friendly and courteous.
Dogs are more welcome on the restaurant terrace than children. With our family of six (including a toddler in a high chair), we pushed two tables of four together... on the first evening to be able to sit properly due to a lack of alternatives. On the second evening we were denied this because the manager no longer tolerated it. So we had to split into two tables, which in the end also left no more room for other guests. At the next table, a lapdog was naturally placed in a basket on a chair and fed FROM THE TABLE...
When I wanted to empty the cassette toilet (carried down from the 5th camping terrace!) I realized that the pleasure should cost 2 EUR! With no money in my pocket, I had no choice but to lug the tank back up to the vehicle. In our 14 years of camping, we have never had to pay for waste disposal! And that at a price of 65 EUR/night.

Nevertheless, the first impression is: Wow! But unfortunately it doesn't live up to its promise.
The store offers a manageable range of food and many decorative items. The food is five times the price of a few regional... products from Lidl.
The restaurant could do with a clean, especially the corners. The skylights have cobwebs that are dusty. The napkins and cutlery are stored under the open staircase that leads upstairs to other tables AND new table settings are made! Seen with my own eyes!
My meal was an oversized portion of grease soaked fries with three pieces of meat (beef, pork, breaded schnitzel), called a load of crap.The meat could have been carpacchio. Mine was oversalted and I didn't have the nerve to complain.
The whole negative experience was rounded off by a snippy old woman with a bun who seemed to have no experience in dealing with people or in gastronomy.
The sauna is located on two different floors that are not connected. You walk from one to the other via the restaurant terrace. There are no lockers and no textile-free outdoor area. There are small lockers at the entrance to the swimming pool, which cost €1 and require a €1 deposit. All in all, you get the impression that it was designed by someone who doesn't take saunas. The entrance fee of €17 is on top of the parking fee.
There are two wash houses. There are individual washrooms where you have privacy. However, there are no separate toilets, only in the shower. No soap at the washbasins and no paper towels. No urinals.
When it rains, torrents of water come down the streets. Presumably no one has thought about sewers.
The ladies at reception are very friendly.
Conclusion: I can't understand the hype!Automaticky preložené.

This was a good thing, as many of the normal pitches looked full with a panel van. The level pitches, arranged in terraces, are all finely gravelled and have all the usual connections and a wonderful... view of the mountains.
The organization and friendliness of the staff were very good. The Garfrenga restaurant served good food at reasonable prices.
We were completely disappointed with the swimming pool. The indoor pool is so small that you can stay in it but not swim. With 2 to 3 strokes you are at the other end. There are some loungers right next to the pool. According to the campsite rules, the pool area should be absolutely quiet, which is completely utopian. Families with small children are also a target group for this campsite. They naturally use the pool and have fun.
You could swim in the outdoor pool. A few youngsters were throwing a football at each other in the water. They were having fun and behaving well. They are also welcome guests at this campsite. Unfortunately, swimming was no longer possible for the other guests.
The new sanitary facilities were still under construction. That's why the private bathrooms, which could be rented for an extra charge, were open to all guests. However, there was no soap or towels at the washbasins.
We paid €92 per day for the XL pitch at Easter, including the swimming pool but excluding the sauna. What did we get for that money? A pitch with all connections and a beautiful view, an indoor pool that was too small for swimming, a relaxation area that we couldn't use because of the background noise, and an outdoor pool that you could sometimes swim in.
Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is in no way right. We have had much better experiences at other luxury spa resorts. We won't be back.Automaticky preložené.

The friendliness of the staff is the absolute highlight of Alpencamping.
The outstanding restaurant, the sanitary facilities, the facility itself are excellent but the staff of Alpencamping Nenzing
make Alpencamping what it is, one of the best campsites in Europe.

The reception was very friendly, we were accompanied to our pitch and a long power cable was brought to us as my husband had forgotten to pack it. In the evening we had a very good meal in the restaurant, the meat was... of very good quality and the service was also very nice. The next day we went to the indoor pool in the afternoon, unfortunately we couldn't swim out, but ok, repairs are a must. The water was pleasantly warm and the massage jets were great. Pure relaxation for us. 2 days later we also visited the sauna, 2 beautiful panorama saunas on the upper floor and in the basement a beautifully decorated area with a steam bath and 2 more saunas. I didn't think 17 euros per person was too expensive. The sanitary building is also great, everyone has their own small bathroom.
On the last day, the outdoor pool was open and it was wonderful to swim in the open air with a view of the mountains. After 9 days we came back for another 2 days on the way home. We ate well again and enjoyed the outdoor pool.

The Waschhus is clearly outdated and unacceptable. Dog owners like to ignore the "no passage" sign.Superficially very nice campsiteThe website and the first impression on arrival were coherent and seemed to pay attention to quality. That appealed to me. The second look was disappointing.
The showers in the Waschhus are extremely narrow, to open the door you have to fold up the folding seat, and if you then use the coat hooks on... the wall, the door doesn't open either. Thanks to motion detectors in the hallway, you are quickly in the pitch dark while showering. It is not easy to open the door. Neither here nor in the toilet would you be able to get out quickly in the event of a power cut, as all the cubicles are individual rooms, so you can't see your hand in front of your eyes, i.e. take a flashlight with you!
I would have liked to see people waiting in front of the shower cubicle here.
Hopefully there will never be a fire, because the escape routes are not marked.
But even in the Bäderhus with the great bathrooms, a motion detector forces you to open the shower door because the light goes out quickly when you're standing in the shower.
The pitches are described as having a waste water connection, which I didn't find on the terrace pitches.

Everything looks very classy, hobbit caves protruding from the mountain, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, sounds good at first.
But once you've been there, it's a different story. The campsite does not have water and sewage on every pitch as stated. The... wash house is lower middle class and a lot of things are broken or mended. It was a bit disgusting and dark. The newer wash house with the shared bathrooms is better, these can also be used if they are not occupied. Generally there are not enough showers in the saunas (2 showers for 3 saunas) which leads to discussions among the guests. There are no glasses or shoe racks, too few hooks for bathrobes or towels. There is also no information about how warm each sauna is before you enter it. For this price we were very disappointed with what we got. The operator should take a look at the sanitary facilities at Trol Camp Fieberbrunn or Woferlgut Bruck or Camping Bodenmais to get an idea of what "eading" means. Checking in at the campsite was quick and pleasant - we were allowed onto the pitch as... soon as we arrived.
Getting to the campsite was a bit tight - but no problem with the 7m Womo.
The access to the pitch itself - and this also applies to other pitches - was very narrow.
However, we had a great view of the valley - with a beautiful mountain backdrop.
The site was largely quiet - but there was a lot of coming and going (most campers probably only stayed for a few days).
Sanitary facilities: For its size, the campsite apparently has too few sanitary facilities - this was also reflected in the cleanliness.
There is a new sanitary building with facilities that are just about up to date
- the facilities in the second (older) building are outdated, partly in need of repair and very cramped - particularly negative: not enough hooks to hang up wash bags, towels etc.
Shopping: there is a small store on the campsite with souvenirs, wine and drinks, fresh (good) coffee, fresh (good) bread rolls without pre-ordering and a small selection of groceries.
Restaurant: We ate in the restaurant once - you sit very nicely in the beer garden by the swimming pool - the food was good - but nothing special - the prices - rather high for a camping restaurant. The staff here were also very courteous and friendly.
Price-performance ratio
We paid 275 euros for 4 nights (camper van, 2 people, dog), i.e. just under 70 euros per day.
The price itself is not the problem (we already knew that before booking), but based on the self-presentation of the site on the homepage - coupled with the price level - we would have expected more (especially sanitary facilities)Automaticky preložené.
