Jürgen J.July 2018Pozitívne"central location"NegatívneAccording toBeautiful but loudThe last place on our 3-week GB tour ;o) I can only agree with the previous descriptor ;o) We used the site on 26.07.2018 on the return journey to Germany. The M4 is mega loud and the price of the place is very high. the approach with a 7.5m Womo is "sporty" ;o) and you can only hope that nothing comes... towards you ;o) otherwise you will maneuver back several tens of meters. But the opportunities for walking the dog are great (100m to the Thames with extensive footpaths and cycle paths). 28 GBP for camper van, 2 adults and dog.Automaticky preložené.
Jan S.July 2010First of all: the site is clean with top sanitary facilities, a playground and tenants who really go the extra mile with great tips for excursions, precise knowledge of train timetables and all other needs. But the one point for the location of the site is only due to the fact that the Thames meanders... through a picture-book English landscape directly behind it. Because it is also located right next to the M4 - the 8-lane main artery from London to the west with never!!! decreasing traffic noise. Without any noise barrier, this arterial road runs past the site at a distance of 10 meters, slightly elevated. In addition, the site is located in a departure corridor of Heatrow Airport! Mega noise! Only bearable with earplugs in the tent - you can still close the door in the camper. The supply options are also modest - no kiosk or similar within walking distance, you have to drive to Slougt or Maidenhead by car (10 min). For a visit to London by train (45 min to Padington), this site is a good choice - 20 min walk to Tuslow station (parking there also costs from 2 pounds / per day). In addition, Windsor Castle can be reached directly via a footpath and cycle path along the Thames. The site is level, not parceled out but closed to mega campers. There is a playground, a covered kitchen with microwave and washing machines + dryers. The site was the most expensive on our GB tour - 2 pers. 2 bikes 1 tent 20 pounds a night!Automaticky preložené.
