Richard M.October 2019NegatívneAfter high waves there were mountains of seaweed on the beach, some of which was simply transported back into the sea by tractor.Large, beautifully situated squareAs already mentioned several times by others, there are mainly tent pitches of various sizes with sea views on terraces in the steep coastal area. The rest are also terraces with spacious pitches for motorhomes and caravans. The site is generally located under pine trees and is therefore shady. Sanitary... facilities clean and well maintained (partly closed from mid-September), restaurant good. Minimarket still well stocked in September. We changed our plans at short notice and wanted to arrive a day earlier. There was no problem with either the ferry or the campsite. Nor was it a problem that we didn't arrive at the campsite until 21:00. What was a bit annoying was that 500-600 watts was the maximum that the cables could provide. Super clean and well maintained. On arrival, we realized that the pitch allocated to us was too small for our large tent. After explaining our problem, we were offered three alternatives, of which we opted for the pitch with a sea view and no shade.... The big advantage of the pitch was that we were on our own and nobody walked past. The disadvantage was clearly the lack of shade. Furthermore, our tent was equipped with plastic pegs as standard, which didn't stand a chance on the hard ground. We were very pleasantly surprised by the sanitary facilities. Everything was very clean and was cleaned several times a day. We quickly got used to the somewhat low pressure of the shower and unintentional hot-cold changes. The restaurant upstairs is highly recommended. Lots of good dishes at good prices, very friendly service and a great view over the bay of Lacona leave nothing to be desired. The store is a little small, but it has the essentials. It is closed in the afternoon, which is a bit of a shame, but you can manage that too. The location of the campsite is great. The outward journey from the ferry took just 20 minutes. We explored almost the whole island from there. We would love to visit this campsite again.Automaticky preložené.

The pitches are terraced and large enough. The restaurant offers a great view of the bay of Lacon. Bread rolls and groceries are available in the store. The new sanitary facilities are spacious and very well maintained. Hot water for both showers and washing up. Two beautiful beaches... are just a few minutes' walk away, and hiking and biking tours are possible directly from the campsite. Pitches, as already reported by my predecessors, absolutely sufficient. Fantastic view of the entire bay. Gastronomy inexpensive and delicious. You're happy to leave the camping stove on in between. Plenty of space on both Lacona and Laconella beaches.... Ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The campsite is located on a mountain, is terraced and also provides for physical fitness, depending on the location of the pitch. There was usually a gentle breeze, which was refreshing in the summer temperatures in August. It was very quiet at night and you could sleep wonderfully with the sound of the sea. At the beginning of the 2016 season, a brand new sanitary building was put into operation. This was cleaned several times a day. (Unfortunately, the function of the floor wiper for the shower was not so clear to some guests ;-)). We will be back!Automaticky preložené.

We thought the view from the restaurant terrace was fantastic, where you can have breakfast relatively alone in the morning at a very reasonable price. We thought the pizza and wine were very good. We also liked the choice... of two beaches. While the smaller one was usually too crowded to find a place to lie down around noon, you could really spread out on some corners of the large beach. The stairs to this beach are a bit strenuous, but the nearby beach bar is particularly nice. The shopping facilities on the site are limited but adequate. We found it good that you can also get to Capoliveri and Portoferraio by public bus, although these don't run very often. The sanitary facilities are full at peak times, but there is no need to queue for a cold shower. They are usually not dirty. What is annoying is that, unlike the showers, the taps only produce a pressureless trickle of water that you can't get your hands under. We thought it was good that there was no entertainment apart from the movie theater. It's nice that there is an illuminated boules court in the evening. The staff are very friendly. After the booked pitch with sea view had too little shade, they took a lot of time to offer us alternatives. Being used to French pitches, we found the pitch quite expensive. Despite the high season, we had a wonderful time in a family atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pitches were rather small, but shady and very cozy, separated by bushes and trees. The sanitary facilities... were rather old and not well stocked - but cleaned twice a day and very well! The beach at Laconella Bay is beautiful and varied - snorkeling, sanding and exploring caves from the water..... The restaurant is very tasty and reasonably priced. Although the location and view would be priceless. A quiet place to feel good - ideal for excursions! We will be back!Automaticky preložené.
- Sandra E.August 2013Campsite with flair in a quiet location, very nice owner family, we had the perfect pitch with a view over the bay, a dream, local cheap and very good with a fantastic view. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are totally outdated and since there are far too few showers (August, from Sept. it was... good), simply not clean then, cleaning was only in the morning, although they have made a lot of effort. Washing machine and dryer available for a fee. Great playground, table football/table tennis/soccer field, all free of charge Top! There is also a nice barbecue area. Our friends were with tent and dog - were also very satisfied. We were with three children (9,8,2) and a camper van. Our caravan was pulled to the site with a tractor, uncomplicated and good. Beaches: the path to Laconella beach via steps/rocks was too stressful for us with a small child, but we liked the bay of Laconella all the better, the path there is easy to walk, the incline was also manageable for a 2-year-old. The water was crystal clear. If only the sanitary facilities were better, it would be a dream place, but the location makes up for most of it anyway. And the island itself is a dream anyway, in August it was still very crowded at first, but the week in September was ideal. we'll definitely be back!!!Automaticky preložené.
- Richard Z.August 2012The previous, older reviews describe the place very aptly. A site more for individualists with a very pleasant, quiet atmosphere. A lot of campers seem to have been coming back again and again for many years. The family and friendly attitude of the operators is special - we have experienced something... completely different here. However, we found the constant "ups and downs" on the site (toilet!) and to the beaches quite tiring in the August heat. An absolute insider tip in August 12 (things can change very quickly) was the restaurant's kitchen with a fantastic view of Lacona Bay, Capoliveri Bay and the island of Montechristo behind it. The simple food was the best we've eaten in Italy this year. The children thought it was the "best pizza in the world" :-) Which has nothing to do with the campsite: Elba is simply too crowded and too touristy in August, which just wasn't the case on our last visit 20 years ago :-). Camping Laconella is particularly recommendable for those who don't mind such things because of the above-mentioned characteristics. Another tip: When making your reservation, indicate your wishes (e.g. "sea view") - then they will almost certainly be taken into account.Automaticky preložené.

The caravan is pulled onto the pitch by the campsite staff with a tractor (++). Sanitary facilities simple but clean. Lots of space in great bays, but a little difficult to climb.
