Restaurant not recommendable; unfriendly, food was not good.
Small store with the essentials. There is a small A&O supermarket nearby: very well stocked, friendly service and good prices,
Feriolo is a nice little town on the lake, with a few restaurants and bars. The cycle path to the nearest towns is typically Italian: only for the brave!
Boat trips to the surrounding markets and to the Borromean Islands almost daily.
There is a great supermarket with agricultural products (Cooparative) and a well-stocked camping store within walking distance.

Only a few shady pitches near the lake. In the rear part, pitches mainly under tall trees and therefore in the shade. Directly adjacent to the village of Feriolo with a small lakeside... promenade and a few restaurants.
Sanitary facilities generally clean and of a normal standard, but without urinals for men. Small store on site where you can get the essentials. Fresh bread rolls are available every morning, but in the high season we always had to queue for 15-20 minutes in the morning to get them.
The beach is ideal for small children to swim, as the water only gets deeper slowly, but is not very clean (seaweed, silt).
Friendly ladies at the reception. At least in the high season, about 95% of the campers are from Holland, many of them with children. Children's entertainment is in Dutch. As a German or Swiss you are an outsider on the site.Automaticky preložené.

The campsite and sanitary facilities were well maintained and clean. Despite the beach, there was a swimming pool with lifeguard and swimming caps compulsory. The beach on the lake was from the campsite,... but dogs were not allowed there. At these prices a dog should be allowed on the beach or the fee for the dog should be cheaper. The main road was not too noisy except for the sirens of the many ambulances. Delivered a top-class frog concert at night... We really liked it. Toilets and showers are cleaned... several times a day. Bring your own toilet paper. But no problem, space is cheap so that's okay! - Thomas K.May 2017Used to be my favorite place on the lake...After many vacations on the Orchidea I had to realize this year that this is no longer my place. The owner has upgraded the place a lot for 2017, but I think only to the detriment, the entire entrance area is now paved with mobile homes, the place now has a swimming pool, the clientele are now mostly... campers with large mobile homes, access control to the place only with a chip on the bracelet, unfortunately the original Orchidea flair was completely lost, too bad about the beautiful place! Not recommended in the main holiday periods! The place was already completely overcrowded with Italians before the Whitsun vacations BW / By.Automaticky preložené.

Unfortunately, bathing was almost impossible due... to carpets of large, tall, spiky mermaid weed. Despite rinsing off immediately, an itchy rash developed. So you don't have to take a detour along the busy road. The site itself has its own beach, level and sufficiently large pitches and, at least during our visit, very clean sanitary facilities.... These are certainly not up to the 5-star standard of some large sites, but compared to other sites on Lake Maggiore they are quite new and equipped with toilet seats, for example. However, you have to bring your own toilet paper, and you will also look in vain for urinals in the men's toilet... The pitches are level, mostly shaded and some are quite a distance from the lake. There are about 10 pitches directly in the first row by the lake, but you can also have a nice view of the lake from some of the pitches behind. The pitches near the lake are very quiet, towards the road you can certainly hear the traffic, which also flows there at night. Overall, we were very satisfied, also with the friendly welcome at reception and in the small supermarket.Automaticky preložené.

We recommend the pitches on the main path to reception. Only these can be seen on the homepage. The other pitches are well shaded but very dark. Sanitary facilities are OK and clean, unfortunately no standing toilets for men, you have to bring your own toilet paper. But this seems to be normal... in Italy. The beach is very clean but often very crowded, but there is also a very nice sunbathing area, unfortunately without shade. We never really had any problems finding a spot. Depending on the wind direction, flotsam (wood, leaves, etc.) drifts into the bay. The shop has everything you need. However, there are plenty of cheaper supermarkets nearby for shopping. The restaurant is a nice place to sit and the pizza is recommended at good prices. Pizza can also be taken away. A trip to the Mattarone is worthwhile, as is swimming in the Torrente San Bernadino near Isella!Automaticky preložené.
- Ulrich R.August 2013We were on the site for the last two weeks of August in 2012 and 2013, once with a motorhome and once with a caravan and trailer. This put us in the two most expensive periods in terms of price, with a dog (5 euros/day) at least 42 euros/day in each case, but electricity and hot water included. Since... this year there is also a tourist tax of 50 cents/person. ++++: - Most of the pitches have sufficient shade - The pitch is located directly on the lake - From the pitch you have direct access to the Feriolo promenade with various bars, pizzerias, etc. where there is also live music several times a week - A small store on the pitch with the essentials and fresh bread rolls (CANNOT be pre-ordered!) and a pizzeria with a covered outdoor terrace, where we often enjoyed eating (prices acceptable) - Children's entertainment (up to approx. 10 years) - campsite buoys for motorboats with a concrete ramp for launching the boats (if necessary, this is done by campsite staff with a tractor) - friendly, German-speaking staff at reception - Wi-Fi on the whole campsite in my opinion ----- : - Pitches relatively small - sandy beach relatively small (homepage photo has a "good perspective") - W-LAN very expensive (using my smartphone with travel tariff was cheaper) - with the exception of the main path from the entrance to the reception, only unpaved paths with corresponding dust development during long dry periodsAutomaticky preložené.
