The reception was very friendly, uncomplicated and quick. We chose our pitch as we wished (we stayed downstairs because of the proximity to the sanitary facilities). Keyword sanitary facilities: clean, clean, clean. Even hand soap is available twice.... This is what distinguishes privately run campsites from large chains. The owners speak German (at least the man does). The proximity to the national road didn't bother us. You could almost eat off the floor in the bathroom, and the music makes it a pleasant place to stay. The pool isn't large, but it's good enough for a dip. Amazing value for money... The facilities are relatively new and modern and very well maintained. The reception is very friendly and the operator (Dutch) is very helpful with good tips on things to do in the area. The passing road is practically unobtrusive as there... is hardly any traffic. The campsite is a great starting point for visiting the many places worth seeing, such as Evora, Estremoz and Monsaraz.
