Actually a great location. The sanitary facilities are fine, unfortunately in the basement, so quite dark and uncomfortable, but everything is clean. One minus point for the showers because you pay extra per minute.

The biggest minus point, which ultimately leads to the two stars,... is that dogs are allowed, cost 4 euros per day, but are not allowed anywhere in the water (May to October) due to the Bavarian water regulations.

Yes, the operators of the campsite are not responsible for the regulation, but you should definitely mention this clearly when or BEFORE booking, because guests from northern Germany or abroad do not necessarily know the Bavarian water regulations and if dogs are allowed on the campsite, you don't expect them not to be allowed in/at the water. Outside the campsite, the dog is not even allowed to run on a lead by the lake.

If you are caught - 250 Euro fine.

We definitely wouldn't have gone to the campsite or to Lake Starnberg if this had been clearly communicated beforehand. At 28 degrees, that's really great now.

You pay 4 euros per day and get nothing except free bags, no lake, no dog shower, ...

It's a pity, other campsites are in a much better position if a lot of money is charged...

Located directly at the swimming area of Lake Starnberg, very friendly and courteous staff, bread roll service, campsite is located directly on the bike path (along the lake), many trees provide shade, the meadow pitches were filled with gravel (we found positive)

Sanitary facilities relatively far away from the meadow pitches, shopping facilities not in the immediate vicinity (there are the bare essentials of food at the campsite, but at very high prices), poor bus connections, currently no boat connection, toilets could be cleaner, small pitches, you can hear the cars on the main road that passes above the meadow pitches.
Beautifully designed campsite
Overall, a beautifully situated campsite right on the water. Swimming is possible in the immediate vicinity. The water is clear and clean. The cycle paths are well developed and run along the water or through the forest. The site is very remote. Despite the few drawbacks, we liked it there.

Rejection of cyclists with tents
Unfortunately unmotivated, unfriendly operators. Mail request not answered...can happen. Statement: no space..can happen.
But sending cycle tourists on with a tent and overnight stay for 1 night is a no-go and a maximum of non-motivation.
We travel a lot around the world by bike, we have never experienced this, a solution could always be found.
Please improve your claim to a good location AND good management.

Dogs are allowed, but it is not stated in the description of the campsite that dogs are no longer allowed on the lake from May 15th. Dogs are banned on the whole lake. As we were traveling with a dog we were very disappointed.
Disappointed
Sanitary building quite ok. Staff friendly, despite my complaint about the lack of a dog ban until September.
