The campsite was founded back in 1961 by Max and Inge Wiesler, which is why many of the pitches are larger and more suited to small to medium-sized vehicles. However, the campsite can also accommodate campers with large caravans or motorhomes.... However, you should enquire about the available pitches in advance. The campsite in Staufen is located between a railroad line and the Neumangen river. The entire site and the buildings exude the charm of the 50s/60s. The infrastructure on the site leaves nothing to be desired. There is a good WiFi network as well as TV connections on the pitch. Everything is functional, but not everything is state of the art
A small indoor pool can be used all year round during opening hours. However, the water depth of 1.25 m is not really suitable for swimming. However, the pool offers families with children an alternative in bad weather. In summer, the outdoor pool just a few meters from the campsite is also included in the price. A large children's playground is just a few meters from the campsite.
The surrounding area on the edge of the Black Forest offers a wide range of leisure activities. Cycling through the Rhine Valley, past the foothills of the Black Forest, through idyllic wine villages and even a city trip to Freiburg make the Belchenblick campsite a great base.
With the visitor's tax paid, guests also receive a local transport ticket that can be used on public transport to the Swiss border.
Shopping facilities are available in a small store on the campsite, and there is also the option of stocking up on everything you need in the various stores and discounters in Staufen, around 2 km away.
Staufen can be reached on foot in around 15 minutes and offers numerous cafés, restaurants and shopping facilities. Unfortunately, the operators have failed to carry out urgently needed renovations. The sanitary facilities are totally outdated, were very dirty and the water in building 1 didn't work properly... or at all for several days. Our reservation was non-existent (although we had already booked a year ago). The reception is only staffed to a very limited extent. Emergency number does not work (we had a power problem in the evening) etc.
We can't explain how such a well-located campsite can be run down like this.
The front pitches still have no water connection.

Anyone who gives ratings from good to very good here is a fake or lives under similar conditions at home. Staff is very helpful. We looked at the rental apartment - absolute no go. Not recommended!
The owner apparently only wants to make money but not invest anything.

In great need of renovation!Square in great need of renovationThe campsite is conveniently located for a walk to Staufen or Münstertal. Unfortunately, the Münstertalbahn runs past the campsite. It is therefore quicker to get to Staufen from the train station at the Münstertal campsite than from here on foot. The sanitary facilities in the front area offer bathrooms... with showers, washbasins and toilets, but are not sufficient even when the site is not full. Cleaning is done daily, but apparently never behind the doors and under the radiators. During the daily wait for a free cabin, I was able to observe spiders weaving on the ceiling. And that for 10 days. The glazing on the inside of the showers was totally smeared and slippery, it was a real mess. The entire sanitary facilities were old, filthy and black. The other two sanitary buildings were still made of old wooden walls like 50 years ago. The swimming pool didn't appeal to me either, it didn't make an inviting impression at all. So, the campsite is in need of complete renovation and requires some investment, which the current owner is probably not prepared to pay for. To call the kiosk a restaurant would probably require a slightly better offer. At best a snack bar. The bread rolls were unfortunately also very soft, which is probably why many guests drove to the bakery in Staufen. We will only visit this place again when an extensive renovation has taken place. The facilities are a bit dated, but were always clean. The train runs right past the pitch but doesn't disturb. There is a small store and restaurant on the site. But you don't have to use them, as Staufen is about 1.5... km away. There are bakers, butchers etc. and excellent restaurants. - Hermann G.April 2018PozitívneConvenient location, fairly quiet.NegatívneEverything is old and partly rotten.The bare essentialsWe were from 28.04.18 to 01.05.18 with Womo, 2 adults 1 daughter 12J. primarily for cycling and running there. Unfortunately, we arrived in the lush midday rest period and had to be patient according to the plan until 3 pm (is so in the rules, therefore no criticism). At around 2:30 p.m. there was the... threat of a little traffic chaos, as the new arrivals were standing right up to the turning lane. However, this didn't stop the groundsman from escorting everyone to their pitch. As we already had our ticket, it was too much for me and I took my place. Unfortunately, the vehicles had to be parked the way the groundsman specified, which meant that we couldn't get satellite reception. But we could live with that quite well if the rest was right. For my purposes (cycling/running) the site was fine, but my wife and daughter were horrified by the sanitary facilities, especially the showers. There was water for about 3 seconds (not exaggerated) after pressing the shower button and then you had to press again.... All the joints and fittings are old and quite run down. Right next to the comparatively new main building is a completely neglected old caravan, which adds to the general picture. In any case, I can no longer get my wives to stay there. The price was reasonable, but it is just as described. Conclusion: In this beautiful region, the groundsman doesn't care what we campers write or think. At this moment, there must be numerous guests standing in front of the barrier waiting patiently to be let in from 3 pm.Automaticky preložené.
