Steve S.August 2022PozitívneCampsite directly on the Weserbogen with (stony) beach section opposite the town and very good restaurants. The site is well equipped. Thanks for the free WLAN. We had a bike breakdown. There is a complete repair station and the lady at the reception immediately provided me with a missing 15 mm ring-knob key. Thank you very much for that. There are also eight free charging points for e-bikes. There are two relatively small but well-maintained and very nice pools on the site, which are particularly suitable for children. There is a comprehensive service for camping and motorhomes, including repairs and the like. The store is extremely well stocked and has a wide range of accessories and, of course, baked goods and coffee. Lovely communal area with tables and benches under parasols. Very inviting. There is a discount store near the square and the town is also within walking distance. Special sights: definitely the harbor and the Weser Skywalk. Nice stay! In March well visited but still only the sanitary house 1 open and the shower rooms were ass cold, so showering is no fun. It was clean, but everything was old-fashioned in the style of... the 70s. There was just 1 single wash cubicle! (Men's area) Small pitches. Fritz Berger store on site, Netto discount store in front of the entrance with bakery. Water taps only possible in the sanitary building, you have to carry canisters a long way. Simply not good, pitches with water / waste water are probably not available. The lawn is rarely mowed and when it is, everything is left where it is carried into the camper. The WoMo pitch was cleared at the edge of the bank due to rising floodwater, the one on the campsite only after three days at night at 22:30. Water was already over the bank. Operator very rude, leaves everything to rot, pocketing money more important. Many long-time regular guests no longer come!!!!!The worst 4 star place we have ever experienced !!!Bad Karlshafen is not worth a visit, unkempt and many houses are empty.

However, we would welcome a restaurant.
And also the possibility to swim.
We were here in 2019 and it was cozy in the restaurant. The chicken, straight from the grill, was particularly good.
Swimming wasn't possible either, pool was broken.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely come back.

The sanitary facilities are functional and work very well. Unfortunately, due to Corona, the part with the washbasins and showers was closed from 8 pm. You can do a lot from this campsite. Cycling on the well-signposted cycle paths along the Diemel... and Weser rivers, hiking and canoeing. The spa, which is within walking distance, is small but very nice. The supermarket right in front of the entrance to the campsite is very practical. Our pitch was big enough for a caravan, awning, car and small additional tent.Automaticky preložené.

Unfortunately, the pool area was closed so we would have scored full points.
Instead, we went hiking in the immediate vicinity. Decency and education leave a lot to be desired!Permanent camping: Never again!1 year on the permanent campsite, 7 months of which closed... 5 months unjustly. The price of the pitch is okay and the camping store and small grocery store also score points. Unfortunately, although the pitch was only occupied by a few guests, the sanitary facilities were dirty in the same places for three days, which... meant that they were not cleaned properly for three days. The staff are very friendly and the camping store is well stocked. The best place to go shopping is Uslar, about 14 km away. Everything from Aldi to Lidl and Rewe to a DIY store is centrally available there. Unfortunately, you have to be prepared for... a little traffic noise due to the main road on the other side of the river, but it is bearable and does not detract from the relaxation. The daily supply of bread rolls is guaranteed, but the quality of the rolls could be improved. Otherwise no complaints and the place is unreservedly recommendable. It was defective and the water had leaked. An employee of the CP immediately had a replacement device available and replaced it straight away. He was extremely professional and customer-friendly. - Wichmann T.December 2018Pozitívne- Unbeatable location directly on the WeserNegatívne- Sanitary facilities are quite outdatedNot a 4 star placeWe were there on New Year's Eve 2018. The site made a good impression at first glance. Great location, right on the Weser. A very friendly welcome. A young, friendly employee took us to the pitch and showed us in. A well-stocked camping store with friendly and helpful staff. What I didn't find so great... were the sanitary blocks. In sanitary block 1, the men always smelled very strongly of urine and the entire sanitary area was obviously getting on in years. I was told that it was better for the women. Sanitary block 2 seemed even older. Especially the men's toilet area. Due to their age, sanitary blocks often appear dingy, even if they are not. Sanitary block 3 was the best. Unfortunately there was mold on the ceiling near the windows and the toilet area always smelled strongly of cigarettes. Unfortunately the men's area in wash house 3 was not cleaned once during our entire stay (1 week)! The restaurant on the pitch was not visited by us, did not look very inviting from the outside. The positive impression of the staff at the beginning was unfortunately spoiled by an extremely unfriendly older employee at the end of our stay. This employee should really work on his public image!!! Bad Karlshafen is otherwise a dead place, but very interesting for those interested in history. A guided tour of the town is recommended. Only one supermarket in the village. The shopping center, which is located directly at the campsite, is empty except for a clothing discounter (no ALDI, no REWE). The thermal baths in the immediate vicinity of the site are good, discount cards for campers are available at the site. Many restaurants for the size of the site! Conclusion: The campsite could do more!!! Better sanitary blocks, more modern infrastructure (more modern restaurant, more modern playground, boat mooring etc.). For me personally not a 4 star site.
