7 months agoA nice campsite, but the behavior of the operator while we had an emergency situation is absolutely not good!
We spent the night here on the way to the ferry to Ireland and in the evening... we noticed a serious problem with our vehicle, which is why we urgently needed a workshop to be able to reach our ferry. We therefore wanted to leave the campsite early the next morning to get to the garage quickly. The owner was sitting in front of the campsite restaurant at half past eight in the morning having a coffee and a cigarette and refused to let us leave the campsite because the official check-out time had not yet been reached. We explained our problem well enough, but he ignored us, saying he wasn't actually there and was invisible.
After about 20 minutes of waiting, he did let us leave a little earlier, but this behavior in this situation is simply unbelievable.Automaticky preložené.- Burkhard M.August 2022PozitívneMany places with direct sea views from above.NegatívneThe terraced layout of the site means that you usually have to climb up to the sanitary facilities and even more so to the reception and restaurant. Doable, but a little sweaty depending on your physical condition.Quiet place with a great view and sunsetThe site is laid out as a terraced complex on the slope of a hill above the sea. We had a pitch about 30 m above the sea with a great view. It was a short walk up to the sanitary facilities; more to the reception, where there was a baguette service and a restaurant (at least chips and pizza also available... as take-away) as well as a playground.
The sanitary facilities were of the usual French standard; they could have been a little cleaner at times - perhaps also because campers and bungalow residents meant that there were a lot of users on one site.
We had tried to make a reservation in advance, but did not receive a reply to our request. We received a friendly welcome; bread could be pre-ordered; sanitary facilities in good and clean condition, plenty of free spaces despite the HS. Access to the beach and from there to the town; alternatively there is a small door on the pitch through which... you can shorten the way to the town center. Electricity is not exactly plentiful at 6 amps. The site is great for tents and small camper vans. The narrow and winding roads on the site make it rather unsuitable for caravans and large motorhomes.Automaticky preložené.

There is direct access to the beach via a descent. Some of the pitches for motorhomes are beautifully situated with a view of the sea. Although we were there in the first half of June and the campsite had only just opened, we were... allocated a pitch without any discussion. The sanitary facilities are very new and very clean, but are located at the edge of the site with about 8 showers, toilets and washrooms for men and women together. This seems to be a bottleneck at busy times. Due to the slope of the site, there are sometimes very long distances to cover. The garbage station is located above the entrance and there are also sometimes very long distances to walk to reach it. During our stay there was no bread, as the operator had not gotten around to buying any (11:00). However, these small weaknesses are fully compensated for by the location of the pitch. Price for 2 people with a 6m van and 2 nights €70, rather steep. Nevertheless, we would visit it again out of season.Automaticky preložené.

Electricity was also directly available. The sanitary facilities were clean and fairly new. However, the price of 30 euros for 2 people and a bus was a bit expensive for the time before the trip. The beautiful beach is just a few minutes' walk away. There is only one (older, clean) sanitary building, which may only be accessible after a long walk (with elevation gain). The interesting town of Honfleur is around 13 km away (feasible by bike, but with several meters of elevation gain).
