Clean and quiet - surrounded by greenery
Camping De Paardenwei is not a classic mini campsite, but is run by the adjacent riding stables. There are around 40 pitches with and without electricity. From tents to caravans to mini campers, everything was represented. During our stay, the site was about 3/4 full and we never had the impression that... we didn't have enough space. We also never queued at the sanitary facilities. This may be different when the site is full. The owners are nice and speak Dutch (at least) as well as English and German. The visitors were a mixed age group, with many families as well as older couples. In general, the campsite is well suited for families. In addition to a small outdoor playground, there is also an indoor course for the kids. In addition, a riding course can be booked daily, depending on age and experience level, and horses are available for riding. Paddocks can also be rented to accommodate your own horses. The nearest fishing opportunity is in the Uitwateringskanaal about 2.5 km away, tickets can be obtained from ASV Aardenburg - or from the Kameleon store (pet supplies) in Oostburg. The campsite is very quiet, right next to a golf course surrounded by greenery. Oostburg is about 3km away. The coast is 12km away. To Bruges about 30km. The only disadvantage is that there is neither a bistro nor a restaurant. The nearest shopping facilities are in Oostburg.
