Dramatic!
Intention for 3 nights, left after only 1 night....
We were assigned a place next to the restaurant that was completely filled with local/camping guests at night. Possibly more than 60 people. A dozen or so looked directly onto our pitch. We also had to pass right through the restaurant guests with the... toilet bag under our arm, which felt very uncomfortable.
Slept reasonably at night until a dog started barking incessantly from 7 am. In the morning indicated to the owner that I found this very annoying. Owner indicated that it was his dog that had slept badly (...). No excuse, empathy or understanding at all. Indicated that it is not acceptable that his dog keeps campers awake. The owner did not understand our problem and told us to leave. Then we did. When we drove away the dog was lying on the path where we had to drive towards the exit. We passed it at a distance. The owner then became very angry because we would "deliberately" want to hit his dog and then hit our camper bus very hard with his fist. We were scolded and left with a fright.

The staff is unfriendly, the owners are getting too old to manage a campground, have no understanding for their campground guests and can only snarl. The boss' dog and "locals" seem to be sacred. Paying can only be done in cash in the restaurant, pin payments are possible for the campsite (can't be done on one account), electricity at the campsite falters, sanitary facilities are clean but outdated, campsite is dated. Food is one-sided and greasy. In short, a big drama!

Natural campsite with great views!
We stayed at this campsite for four nights with our camper van. It is a terraced campsite with old apple trees. We were able to choose a pitch and had a fantastic view of the valley. There are plenty of water connections. The nearest electricity connection can be a little further away, so a long power... cable is required. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated. The restaurant offers simple dishes such as half a chicken with chips, turkey steak with fried potatoes and tarte flambée. The restaurant is also popular with the locals. The atmosphere is relaxed. There are some lovely walks from the campsite. A place for people who love nature.

Quiet and beautifully situated Great restaurant
Summer 2016
Beautifully situated campsite with a view of the Elz valley. Sanitary clean and tidy. Restaurant very good, also used by non-campers. Quiet, nice to relax. We would love to come back. Highly recommended.

Very nicely located campsite with nice operators
Very nicely located campsite with a friendly operator couple. The restaurant is highly recommended, with large, tasty portions at reasonable prices, and the process for allocating pitches was very uncomplicated and quick. You can hike directly from the site, which is also a good base for cycling. Great calendar of live music events. We would love to come back...

Pladsen ligger godt, fin panoramablik over byen, lidt stejlt og smalt inden man når hen til pladsen, man alle kan komme op. man skal følge skiltene og ikke GPS (den vil op af en meget stejl stigning) Personalet er venlig og hjælpsom, morgenbrød kan købes i kiosken. Toilethuset er ok og rent. Opvaskerummet... er lidt gammelt og slidt, men rent. Er man til god hvidvin, kan Weingut Sonnenhof i Ihringen am Kaiserstuhl anbefales. Prices for pladsen are cheap.

Beautiful campsite at the gates of Waldkirch
Small but nice original campsite location, very pleasant outside. You can start hiking or walking immediately from there. View of Alsace when the weather is right. Beautiful terrace with good food and wine, for a relaxed summer feeling. Seats all levels on individual terraces. With dog it was no problem.

Very steep and narrow access road. With oncoming traffic there are problems as Wowa and Womobil. Short-term pitches are poorly supplied with electricity. Sanitary good and clean, dishwashing camping from the early 60s. Location of the C-place nice! But it can happen that evening events of the attached inn disturb the night's rest considerably.
