Completely crashed - Unacceptable
Unfortunately, the site is now virtually closed and can only be booked by permanent campers. As it is fully booked, this is no longer possible. What a pity. The site was nice. Even if the owner was always a very strange bastard ...

Nice and quiet location, but rather overpriced
After two nights right next to the Schaffhausen-Constance railroad line, we desperately needed some peace and quiet - so the location was well chosen. On arrival, we received a friendly welcome and the allocated pitch was OK. However, the real crux of the matter came as soon as we registered - I was... quoted around €38 per overnight stay with a camper and 2 people plus ancillary costs (in the end it came to around €130 including electricity and ancillary costs for 3 overnight stays - i.e. >€40/day). At least they were kept thoroughly clean. The fact that showering then costs extra is almost a cheek. As far as shopping facilities are concerned, I was referred to the markets in Oberuhldingen and the farm store in the neighborhood - I could live with that, because it's not worth having a wide range of products in such a small place.

Small, quiet but overpriced place,
In itself a nice little place, right on the lake, unfortunately swimming is not possible, only concrete access to the lake, in it a lot of smelly algae ... the lake is therefore unfortunately also unsuitable for children to play. The offer of the kiosk is to be renewed, there was an old pack of tea, a bag was sold to us for 50 cents

Overpriced, unfriendly and rather unsuitable for children
Sanitary facilities completely outdated, price for us overpriced, poor telephone accessibility, garbage is collected for weeks in two huge garbage containers that stank very start when we were there, right next to it the regular places start, for us unacceptable. Owner extremely unfriendly. My daughter... was so snapped at here because of a bit of dirty water that we drove away. Completely unpredictable owner who takes his strange moods out on anything that crosses his path, no matter how trivial. Another couple with a child we met there had similar experiences, they don't want to come back either. It's not suitable for children anyway as all the garbage and seaweed is constantly drifting into the bay and there is no beach, just a slippery jetty. Even the beautiful view doesn't help

Nothing but peace and quiet and far too expensive
If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. That is almost the only advantage. Swimming is difficult despite direct access to the lake, the entrance to the water is generally not ideal and more for experienced swimmers. The sanitary facilities are outdated, the facilities on the... site are minimal, no food, only drinks. The pitches are close together, there are many prohibitions and rules, the entry and exit is kept very rigid, almost a bit like in a prison...The landlady is friendly, but at the same time gives you the feeling that you have to be grateful to get a pitch here. Too bad.

Promises not correct
According to the website, we were promised a place with lots of peace and quiet to relax and extra large pitches. Unfortunately, that wasn't true at all. The pitches are super cramped and it was very restless. What a shame. The view is really nice, but the access to the water is terrible. A slippery concrete slope. Horrible. The water was full of algae. We tried to enjoy the vacation anyway, but won't be going back.

Overpriced for what is offered
My wife and I stayed at this campsite for a few days in June. The 1st impression. Gate closed and nobody there made us suspicious. There was no response to calls and knocks. Good thing we had a cell phone and reception. After 10 minutes we were opened. The reception is not very inviting. The guest stands... outside and you talk over a kiosk counter and someone is constantly coming to get an ice cream, a coke or something similar. That is annoying. The tenant/owner gave us a great spot right on the lake. The view is really beautiful. We were also able to enjoy the sunsets. There are lots of dogs on the small site and, to our surprise, lots of children. There is no entertainment for children, which makes no sense given the size of the campsite. You can get into the water via a jetty. Unfortunately, I didn't have my swimming trunks with me. After we had set everything up and I was sweaty, I wanted to take a shower at 9:30 pm. But what's this: it's pitch black in the washroom. There's no light on. So I showered with the door open to catch some light from the lights outside. I also had to insert money - 3 minutes for 50 cents. And that at this price. Another thing that bothered me is that the showers and toilets are not separate. You're taking a shower and someone rattles into the bowl 2 meters away. You can hear it and you can smell it. However, I think it's OK to pay when showering, as you don't always have children/young people showering for 20 minutes. There is a kiosk, but you can't get anything here in the morning. No bread rolls, no coffee. What a pity! The sanitary facilities are a bit older but clean. However, the pee channel is no longer up to date.

The lights are switched off in the sanitary area at night!
We had already been here a few years ago and felt comfortable, which is why we came here again. Unfortunately, this time we only got a very bad pitch on the fully booked pitch, right next to the entrance gate, which we paid for two days in advance. If we hadn't done this, we would have left the next... morning at the latest for the following reasons: There was only an emergency light in the toilet and shower from 10.30 p.m., i.e. it was impossible to shower after this time, and you could only relieve yourself in the dark. This is intentional, we were told the next morning. That's not pleasant for a toilet without glasses! Our pitch next to the electronic sliding gate was very annoying because it was constantly opening and closing. The pitch was simply too expensive for these shortcomings. The sanit. The sanitary facilities were clean but outdated. The site is located directly on the lake, but you can only get into the water via a slippery concrete slab for boats or via a long jetty. We didn't want to swim in the lake as everything in this bay was filthy. We won't be coming here again!

Very nice location. As the site is close to a nature reserve, the water near the shore is unfortunately not suitable for swimming. Very expensive, although it is not clear why. The sanitary facilities are in need of renovation. Showers are charged extra. It is not possible to order or buy bread rolls... in the morning. The nearest supermarket is in Oberuhldingen. There are a lot of unnecessary prohibition signs. The friendliness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

This place was just right for my husband and me. We were looking for a quiet place to relax. The sanitary facilities are in need of renovation by German standards, and the food could also be improved. But the location makes up for a lot.
