Nice welcome from the staff. Everything was OK for one night, I wouldn't stay there longer, although the area is nice. It would be too cramped for me for longer (you can find that communicative) and too noisy from the road.... Then the Easter vacations were high season in South Tyrol, so it was quite expensive. Especially compared to what we had previously paid in Tuscany. And if you consider the other facilities on the site: a bathing jetty to the lake and a well-hidden table tennis table. Electricity supply rather below average. So if things get tight at the Brenner again, an alternative. Restaurant with terrace looked nice, but we didn't use it.Automaticky preložené.

Great for swimming in the lake.NegatívneSmall pitches, narrow and sometimes very bumpy roads within the campsite.Nice, simple campsiteWe stayed at the St. Josef campsite for 6 days and felt at home there. The pitches are small but well-kept. Many campers with tents. Guests with dogs are also welcome. You can swim in Lake Kaltern from the jetty. The sanitary facilities are functional and well maintained. The campsite store has a good... range of everyday necessities as well as bread rolls, sausage and cheese. We really enjoyed the food in the campsite restaurant. In addition to the regular menu, there are 2-3 dishes of the day every day. On Wednesdays there is only pizza. You can also have a very good breakfast in the campsite restaurant. The wifi is sometimes better and sometimes worse. All in all, we had a pleasant time.Automaticky preložené.

Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities (but not due to the cleaning staff) Access to the pitches adventurousBeautiful place in need of modernizationWe've been coming here every now and then for 4/5 days for a good 25 years now. Initially with a camper van, now with a small motorhome. The location and view are always very impressive and an experience for the soul, whatever the time of year. The pitches are too small for caravans and the access to... the pitches requires good driving skills. In the 4 days we were there this time over Easter alone, there were 2 unpleasant jostling incidents with no small amount of damage due to the tight maneuvering. The restaurant deserves a lot of praise, the food is always delicious, the waiters absolutely love children and always have a nice word for everyone. The same goes for the small store, where you can find everything you need at moderate prices. The sanitary facilities are adequate, but a bit dated. The daily cleaning is okay, but you should somehow make the users (especially the female ones) aware that they should leave the toilets as they would like to find them. Just 3 hours after cleaning, 4 toilets had already been left so disgusting that it was no longer possible to use them. Dear ladies..... do you leave your toilets like this at home? The same applies to the sinks..... people, when I'm finished I at least dispose of the salad and goulash leftovers from the drain and rinse away the washing-up liquid foam. But here, too, 3-4 pools are emptied every day like a pig from a trough. The access road to the campsite has always been quite short, but due to the location it can't be changed, but a solution should finally be found for the many cyclists to be able to enter the site without acrobatic contortions. The many trees on the individual plots should also have the rotten, sometimes thick branches removed, which can cause trouble the next time there is a strong wind. The street noise also increases every year. On a very positive note, the bus stop right by the pitch is a great thing.Automaticky preložené.

A simple place not far from the highway. There is a little space in front of the barrier. Sanitary facilities are always clean and plentiful. Everyone has to decide for themselves when it comes to the restaurant. Bus stop in front of the site. The jetty to the lake is great. Sanitary facilities are ok, cleaned daily, but not enough when fully occupied. The overall impression is that everything looks a little unkempt. The staff are friendly and helpful and... we had a good meal in the restaurant. The lake can be reached via a jetty from the campsite. But the reason to spend a vacation here is the area, beautifully situated on Lake Kaltern, there are numerous excursion destinations within a short distance of the campsite and can therefore be reached quickly. We can only recommend this campsite to everyone. Very nice excursion possibilities: Hiking through the vineyards, cycling around the lake, although you can't get to the lake everywhere... to protect the animal species living there. The place own bathing jetty without any strangers disturbing the vacation, who needs loud music or other program should go to Ballermann. By car: 25 km to Bolzano 30 km to Merano 60 km to Lake Garda 70 km to the Dolomites it can not be more central Very good so we made it a 7 day Mobil Card purchased at a price of 28.00 € means 7 days bus and train throughout South Tyrol, as well as 5 cable cars and 2 funiculars (Ritten and Mendel) to be able to use for free. The site is a campsite as it should be - nothing concreted on the pitches. Sufficient for caravans, awnings/tents and cars. Electricity is easy to reach everywhere, although it is only 6A fused, but after all it is camping and glamping that you have to bring your entire household with you. Maybe I understand camping differently, but you don't have to bring a kettle, Thermomix or other household items to a campsite. We have booked again for next year in September for 13 days on our departure and are looking forward to being there again.Automaticky preložené.

The restaurant on site was great and the small store had everything you could wish for. A car is certainly an advantage, but Bolzano is also easy to reach with the Bolzano Express and a short bike ride around the lake is also possible.... The sanitary facilities were adequate and clean, the site was quiet and relaxed and the operators were friendly. Just like the neighboring campsite, St. Josef am See is not very demanding. The pitches are small, without any privacy protection and often in the blazing sun. There are no signs of any improvement or beautification, e.g. by planting trees or hedges. The... site is just suitable as a transit site for 2 to 3 days and lives exclusively from its location on the lake and on the way south. Only the cook deserves praise, unfortunately not the loveless (not even the simplest table decoration) managed restaurant. We had reserved one of the larger pitches for our camper van and a small tent for our son and his girlfriend, which worked wonderfully. Pitches generally not too big, some shaded. The paths on the site are a bit narrow and... tricky to drive, especially because campers kept parking their cars somewhat unorthodoxly in the bends and could not be reached at the campsite. Somewhat tricky exit onto the country road, cars and trucks come quite close and quickly. But generally a very good, idyllic location. Lake Kaltern can be reached via a short path and its own bathing jetty, bus stop to Kaltern, Bolzano and other destinations directly in front of the campsite, as well as the hiking trail around the lake. In the store there is almost everything you need for your daily needs, extremely friendly service, also in the restaurant, good wine selection ;-) Sanitary so far o.k., could be modernized. The friendliness of the ladies in the grocery store is also great. The operator could take a leaf out of their book. At the reception and at the access road there is a rarely experienced chaos in the mornings and evenings,... at least in the high season. The pitches are generally too small for caravans. Driving to and from the site is also an adventure as the paths are very narrow. Sometimes there are sharp-edged kerbs in the bends so that the tires run the risk of blowing up. Departure early in the morning and arrival late in the evening with corresponding dismantling noises cause a daily disturbance as the site is also used as a transit site. The sanitary building is clean but very dated. Furthermore, the operators should ask themselves whether the location of the playground at the disposal site for mobile homes and the sanitary building is so ideal. Due to the very small pitches, the poor accessibility and the location of the playground, the overall impression is only 2 starsAutomaticky preložené.
